Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I stand there and look at them for a bit.
"Huh."

 

One of the pictures looks like the wooden dummy, another looks like the other assassin that stared her down, and the third looks like a child with a heart-shaped scar fusing one eye shut.


Xlentia stays near the surface, trying to figure out how to take off.

A naga glances at you, holding a set of cards.
“Yesss?”

“Nothing much to see, really. Nobody really tries all that much. Nobody I know, at least.”

 

"I'm looking for a gorgon? She owns a clothes shop around here."

 

Shadow Stephanie looks for ways out of the room.


The water below Xlentia seems to push her up a bit, making it easier to take off.

 

"The emblem's fairly impressive."
I compliment.

 

"Arga? Three roads down, alley on the left."

"Comparatively." Mitch shrugs.

The door seems to be the only way.
"Pop back in here if you need help. I'll be poking around here for another 20 minutes or so."


She looks around for another portal, another part of the beach - anywhere she hasn't been yet.

 

"Alright." Shadow Stephanie says, heading out.


A bit further up from the beach, there appears to be another portal area. It seems to be the way out for people who've washed up on the beach.

 

I continue walking, checking out the surroundings to see what else is interesting.

 

There's nobody in the hall, hold the rat that's waiting near a corner.


Xlentia tries not to step on anyone as she lands, looking to head through.

There... really doesn't seem to be much. It's sort of strange, having people driving horse-like creatures to pull wagons when Idhaenna has unparalleled tech.

 

Shadow Stephanie looks at the rat.


A portal opens up for Xlentia, leading out to a huge grassy field; trees, shrubs, rivers and rabbit holes visible.

 

I seem to start thinking for a bit as I continue to follow Mitch around.

 

"Thank you."
He follows the direction given to him.

 

You wind up at the clothing shop again, a tuxedo with a small opening for a tail in the back visible from the door.

He keeps strolling, nothing eye catching going by.
“Sort of disappointing, no?”

It disappears behind the corner.


She squirms through, curious.

 

Shadow Stephanie follows the rat, intrigued.


Various guardians are visible roaming about the fields, and a small village can be seen in the distance. Younger forest guardians seem to have fun running about the fields, while air guardians fly down to berry bushes to collect their fruits. Earth guardians head into the side of a hill which appears to lead into a mineshaft, and water guardians swim down a large river happily, appearing to race each other.

 

It slips down in a vent, poking its head out as it waits for her.


Xlentia steps carefully, wanting to avoid stepping on anyone or anything as she watches the scene.

 

“Just a little bit.”

 

“You get used to it after a while, I guess.”

 

Shadow Stephanie hops down the vent, following.


A bird flies past Xlentia's eyes, gliding on the winds. A few rabbits quickly run into their holes as Xlentia causes vibrations in the ground, seeming to catch the attention of Earth Guardians too.

 

He knocks on the door and gently opens it.
"Arga, are you in here?"

 

“Impending doom might make it seem better.”
