[d&d] The Fall Of A City [8/8]

There’s that half-elf you saw when you walked in. other than that, it’s just a standard sushi restaurant with tables, chairs, and a bar.

 

???: "Nothing here..."

I go check out the commotion upstairs.

 

There’s a hole with a ladder going down.

Everyone except Spyro and Florfy. The people in the tape room went to the other door in the hallway.

 

"C'mon."
I say to the hunter, then start heading down.

 

You see some people quickly but carefully entering a room on the left side of the hallway before in front of you. A war forged guard enters the room at the end of the hall. There’s light there and a T.V. is on.

 

I move, stand on the side of the doorway, and try to look in. If I can't see the TV, I enter the room.

 

I follow.



Will be eating for a bit.

 

Looks like a tape just ended. The hatch for tapes in the tape recorder pops open.

 

So is everyone in the room leaving, or..?

 

As you go down the ladder and into the basement, the temperature drops significantly.

The basement is a large room with a large console in the middle of it. The walls are painted black and are covered with empty picture frames. Three large vaults are on the far end of the room. Black and red modern looking chairs are scattered and sprawled across the room

“Welcome to the A.R.M.A’ry.”

 

Wait, did I see them go that way?

 

Those going down the ladder now just listened to the tape.

Wait, what says this?

 

???: "That's... Ominous. Hmm..."

I follow the people down the trapdoor after listening to the tape.

 

It seems like it comes from the console in the middle of the room. From the way it echoed in the room you can’t exactly tell. The voice sounds exactly like the one on the tape.

 

I approach the nearest vault and try opening it.

 

What do I see?

 

It opens easily but reveals nothing but dust.

The same voice you just heard speaks again:
“Apologies if there aren’t any weapons in the vaults. There’s no restrictions on how many you are able to take, and I assume that others took more than they needed. Judging by the way you all walked in without worry tells me you already have weapons available.”

“It is imperative that once you’re done looking around at the absolute mess that has become of both this room and situation, you prop a seat and sit down for a while.”

Same thing that the others who went down are seeing, but you see them too.

 

Alright, I inspect the console.

I sit down in a seat and kick my feet up, peering at the newcomer.
