You kinda just wake up from walking silently and are in front of a sushi restaurant. A slip of paper is in your pocket.

If you want to skip all this, we can assume that you just walk in on them listening to the tape.

 

Don’t worry, I haven’t entered the building yet either. Or I just did. You are not too far behind

As you walk up the stairs, the tape starts. So yes, you hear it.

There's a loud clomping noise as something very heavy walks up the stairs.

You all start hearing a whirng noise and a deep gruff voice says.

???:"where's the sushi?"

What’s inside the sushi shop?

 

Darkness and an open freezer, there’s noise upstairs and light coming from the staircase going up there.

 

Not sushi.

I'm upset at that.

I... was not expecting that to be the first thing you'd say. As for the tape...

 

Well, now that I found out about this after not getting notified (still irritated about that), I walk in the sushi shop.

Should we say they haven't seen me yet to circumvent... Well, my not being here for 13 pages

 

You enter a small empty room with a carpet in the middle.

I cautiously approach the carpet, and lift it up.

 

You walk in and see a half-elf looking around.
It’s a dark, run-down restaurant and the freezer is left wide open. Stairs lead to another floor and noise is heard above.

 

wait i'm in the tape room who's in there?

 

???: "Hmm?"

I start wandering around the ground floor, checking the freezer in the process.

Perception: 13 + 6 = 19

The freezer’s been searched through at least 2 times. All the boxes are empty and one box is upside down, locked into place by ice and frost.
The upside down box’s “right-side up” arrow points up despite being upside down, you notice.

 

Okay. I wander the rest of the shop to see if there's anything. Perception check is 17.
