I shrug. "Just wondering, why are you here? Last time I checked my records, you don't have a reason to get involved here."

 

The girl sighs shaking her head. "If you think having magic just allows you to have an advantage over others with no worry, you're wrong. Ancient monsters dwell in the deep. And several magical organizations fight with each other with some trying to overthrow the Magic Supervision and Authority Administration. Tell me, do you really want to join a world where your death is more likely to happen?"

 

Oh god I'm gonna die I'm totally gonna die this is 100% a thing that can happen oh god oh god oh god

(Deadpan): "Yes."

"Wow, you are foolhardy aren't you?" the girl says in response. Then she fixes her gaze on the statue. "Tell me, what do you think really happened here?"

 

After putting the bags in a courner, I grab my things to go and inspect the meteorite thing that landed.

 

“You don’t ever get straight to the point, do you. I was talking to some rich Doctor lady and her assistant about a secret organization that sounds similar to this. She was sitting near an exploded bank. We then ran into Cuffs and his friend. Then, the meteor came down. The assistant teleported us here, and Cuffs, Cander and I came here to help because we thought normal people would be involved. We were obviously wrong.”

 

"Obviously. We're trying to let the 'normal people' (air quotes) live blissful ignorant lives afterall."

 

“Yes. Now, back to the organization?”
@Azura what happened to Dr. Lakrow and Lopez?

 

I interrupt after 'yes'.
"Good that you know." I say, talking over your next few words (Now, back to the organization).
Then I turn to Zach.
"You seen him there before?"

 

Sry, was watching War of Infinite Credits. Now onto responding to people.

You exit out your apartment and try to see where the asteroid landed. You're able to see it and it landed . . . on the Statue of Liberty. The top half of the monument is completely destroyed and crumbling. However, due to it now being nighttime, you can't see anymore details. There however, is no evidence of fire caused from the asteroid . . . nor any sign of the asteroid itself. Maybe try to get a closer look?

"Seen him where before?" Zach asks.

 

"The bank? Or anywhere else really."

 

“I believe he had left when I had arrived. Dr Lakrow said he wouldn’t be meeting her anymore. They seemed to have an appointment though.”

 

“Oh, did Dr. Lakrow tell you my name as the person she was meeting with?” Zach asks.

 

I go find the nearest route by foot because I’m not sure if my weapons would go unnoticed in public transport.

 

Uh that's like a 2 hour walk, not to mention how are you gonna get back to your apartment for even get to the national statue of liberty monument. And it's like past midnight topkek. You sure?

 

I yawn and say ''Can i just go home it's been a long day and all this interagation stuff isnt really my thing, so if you don't need me can i just leave?''

 

"Kinda hard to walk off the island, don't you think?"

 

"Maybe, maybe not, only one way to find out" I summon "The Traveller" to guide me to my apartment

 

“Yes.”

 

You summon the colorless shard and a path is formed by lit candles showing the fastest route to your apartment. However, the path tells you to go over the water (with floating candles) to the north. What now?

"Well then she was bluffing," Zach starts. "It's what she does when she doesn't trust someone yet and they ask her about a client or something. She usually says my name so that I can deal with whoever she sent to me later when they catch up to me. Now uh, what were you asking Dr. Lakrow earlier then if she had to say my name?"
