Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Okay. Don't fall asleep."
He waits for the wyvern to get up again.

 

“Okay, yes I understand! My point is stop treating us like them!”


“Timelines all end at once... and I find myself being born.”


“I, uh... can stand on the ocean floor.”

A few minutes later, he stands up and catches up with the centaur.

 

"What have I done to treat you like a human!?" Shadow Stephanie asks, angry.


"I think that's your reality's way of saying you haven't done something correctly, but you're essential to it's existence." Praecantatia says.


"Yeah...I just realised...You probably wouldn't be able to experience the beach at your size though. It's all us-sized." Gari says.

 

"Okay, just tell me when you need another rest." He says before he follows the group again.

 

“Do you not remember how you introduced yourself? By holding a dagger to my neck?”


“No, something more petty. Mother wants me to fix it.”


“A beach?”

“I think I’ll make it to the shore.”

By the time the sun’s peaking, the group’s at the beach, the Leviathan waiting nearby.

 

"There he is. Hey!" He waves over at Mark.

 

"Because I thought you were hurting Stephanie!" Shadow Stephanie shouts.


"Why can't she fight your father?" Praecantatia asks.


"Yeah, there's a beach if you go far enough. Originally it was just meant for the water guardians, but people ended up getting washed up there, and Gaia let them stay. There's a great hut there that gives out free water bottles and coconut drinks." Gari says happily.

 

Lenka steps back.
“My point is no, you don’t do your research.”


“She doesn’t exist.”


“I mean, I don’t know what a beach is.”

Mark perks up, then heads closer to shore.
“You all ready to cross?” He asks, moving the sand a bit to lower himself.

 

Shadow Stephanie glares at Lenka.


"Right, of course." Praecantatia says, frustrated with herself.


"...You don't?" Gari asks, surprised.

 

He counts all the heads.
"If all 6 off us are here, then yes."

 

Lenka just shrugs.
“Look, Pozel got imprisoned for bringing you home. I got threatened because you tend to stab first and ask questions later. That’s why we think you’re heartless, okay? You barely give us a chance, then expect us to beg for our lives or thereabouts.


“Don’t stress it. You’ll never get it right. I can’t.”


“I live in the Void, a space between realms. There’s nothing but darkness.”

You count six heads.
“Well, climb on and we’ll be there with some sun left to spare.”

 

"You don't know me at all." Shadow Stephanie says, sighing.


"What's your father's main weakness?" Praecantatia asks.


"Why?" Gari asks.

 

“Then explain yourself.” Lenka shrugs.


“Being alone.”


“It’s the space between, where anything rejected gets tossed. It’s remnants, scraps. I make do with what I have.”

 

"I could tell you a long story of my entire life, but I'd rather not." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding annoyed.


"Is...that his only weakness?" Praecantatia asks, worried.


"Is that why you're here?" Gari asks.

 

“Okay, sure. If you don’t want to try and change my mind, then don’t. Don’t fix what doesn’t bother you.” He shrugs.


“Yes, it is.”


“Well, a water guardian felt sad, and then I wanted to apologize to Gaia for misunderstanding her. Now I’m bird watching.”

 

Shadow Stephanie just crosses her arms, annoyed.


"Nothing elemental?" Praecantatia asks.


"That's...pretty random." Gari says.

 

"Climb aboard, everyone!"
He also climbs on top of Mark.

 

Lenka waits.


Petunia rolls her eyes a bit.
“...No.”


“Well, everything’s a mess at home. Some nice guardians are helping me and my fellow gods sort it out.”

They follow suit, the wyvern climbing on last.
“Next stop, a much more intact place.” Mark calls, starting to swim away.

 

Shadow Stephanie doesn't move.


"That's...tough." Praecantatia says, sighing, before laying down on the grass.


"Are you going to chill out here?" Gari asks.

 

"Time to rest. Tell me when we're there."
He lays down and gives a glance at the wyvern.
