Anafenza is only a Level 8 Paladin. Her other levels are in Warlock.

I'll think about Great Weapon Master, although I kind of want to do something more focused on roleplaying.

Did someone say debuffs? Anafenza has Hideous Laughter, Hex, and Compelled Duel.

To be fair, our biggest foes will be three-person enemy parties.

Should I go to Warlock 4 (for the feat/ASI) or Paladin 9 (for 3rd-level spells)?

 

Paladin has some pretty awesome exclusive spells starting from level 3 and up. Aura of Vitality, anyone?

 

I will keep that in mind.

Raedurg is more bent on disabling and control, with a bit of support sprinkled in. Command, Dominate Person, Banishment, Animate Dead, etc.

I'm actually not sure on this one. GWM would be good, or another feat...

 

I kind of want Dispel Magic for Anafenza, actually.

 

That's actually a good idea. In a PVP fight, loosing one member to a crippling debuff spell could completely change the course of battle.

 

That, and it's something Anafenza really wants for her own purposes.

You all wake up to a horrid howl. It’s might time now, and you hear a howl so vile and aggressive it seems unearthly

 

As I was never really asleep, my eyes snap open and I leap to my feet in a single fluid motion. Shifting my focus to Spectral Throw, I creep towards the tent-flap of the caravan wagon to look outside.

Perception to look for enemies: 11 + 6 = 17

 

The first thing you notice is the guards. Half of them are dead, and the other half seem to be knocked out.

Several orcs are dead on the ground, and several are moving to sprouts the caravan. You also see another creature. Much larger than an orc, with brown fur and big horns, but still resembling an orc

 

I try to use the cover of night to climb up on top of the caravan without being noticed. What checks?

 

Anafenza immediately snaps to attention, grabbing her halberd and armor(?) and leaving the caravan with Dorghalan on her shoulder. She telepathically reaches out for Natasha or Raedurg.

Anafenza: "What the..."

 

I poke my head out of the tent.

Raedurg (thinking): Oh sh-

Since you had no exaugstion or spent hit dice, there would be no penalty to sleeping in armor

 

Before we get into combat. We just wait for a minute, and...

 

They're in the process of slaughtering our guards, for fuck's sake.

If you really want a Geas-slave that badly, just KO one and then cast it once it's been taken captive.

Acrobatics: 14 + 4 = 18

 

Oh. I thought the guards were dead. Oh well, I misread.

 

Some are dead, some are KO and will probably be executed shortly.
