I put my hands in my pockets as I walk.

 

"Smoke bomb aside, yes."


"You know my point."


"Excuse me?" Xlentia asks.

"Yeah, your lady's pretty easy to carry."

"So, that's why it's sort of a bad time to visit. The moon's probably going to swap soon."

 

"Oh. How useful." Shadow Stephanie says sarcastically.


"Why tell me it then?" Praecantatia asks, "I wouldn't call a massive favor for a small convenience."


"Hm?" The forest guardian asks, lowering his bow.

 

"What about the centaurs? They are probably heavier then me. Can you carry them?"

 

“...What do you do, then?”

 

“I mean, if you really can’t throw worth anything, yes they’re bad.”


“I dunno. I guess you just seem a bit ambitious as of late. Think of it as concern shared between advisors.”


“Do you know where Lady Gaia went?”

“Freak out, panic, die.” He shrugs.

“I’ll try, but just one at a time.”

 

"It just seems a bit stupid to be able to hurt yourself with your own attack," Shadow Stephanie says, "If you make everything realistic then it's not fun."


"Ambitious in what way?" Praecantatia says.


The forest guardian shrugs.

"She probably went to another garden." The forest guardian says.

 

“If you stab yourself and it does nothing, it’s just stupid.”


“Oh, don’t worry about it.”


“There’s more than one?” She asks, sitting up.

 

"Eh, I've seen weapons just noclip through you." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.


"What's concerned you?" Praecantatia asks, persistent.


"Well, yeah. Did you think this was just endless forests?" The forest guardian asks.

 

"Ofcourse. Although you could carry me and Anne on your back, but I'm not complaining."

 

“Yes, puck up a rock, throw it at your head, and let me know how that goes.” Lenka sighs.


“Oh, you know.”


“Considering I literally spend my life in a room, yes.”

“I know, but we all need to get across.”

 

Shadow Stephanie looks for any rocks that aren't part of the ground.


"No, I don't know." Praecantatia says.


"Oh, well if you go far enough in one direction, you should be able to find a gateway to another garden." The forest guardian says.

 

That would be just about every rock.


“Oh, you sure?”


“Uh... I should probably just stay here. I need to go in... a month? I dunno.”

 

Shadow Stephanie picks up a rock and throws it at herself.


"I'm not going to read your mind for it." Praecantatia says.


The forest guardian just shrugs.

 

"Yeah. You're gonna use your claws or can we just climb aboard?"

 

“Mmm.”
I seem to start thinking.

 

It hits her.


“Maybe we’ll trade, then? You answer me about Stella, and I’ll tell you what has me worried. If not, I’m fine with letting sleeping dogs lie.”


“Well, sorry to bother you.” Xlentia says, laying her head down.

“We’re not into the whole technology thing. Supposedly some renaissance thing, I guess. We struggle, then we get watched from above like a gladitorial act.”

“The digger’s already gone off without us. I’m only flying one of you at a time.” The wyvern sighs.

 

"Ow..." Shadow Stephanie says, rubbing her head.


"That depends on your question." Praecantatia says.


The forest guardian goes back to archery, making a target spin from the force of it's hit.

 

"Well, let's get started then."

 

"By who?"
