He gives the dragon a pet on her nose before he goes and wake the others. Starting with the wyvern.

 

“Yes. I’ll be sure to let you know if things go south.”

“Before I became stuck as... whatever I am now, I was a mother with three children, and this cost me my life and my unborn child. I am not the Hive Master, I have no need and no interest in removing anyone’s free will.” Stella says, irritated. “Besides, if I didn’t respect everyone’s privacy, Eve’s blueprints wouldn’t be stored in maximum security alongside my personal code. Yes, I already have them. I’ve had them for a long time. With how you’ve been treating me, don’t even bother asking how I got them.”


Xlentia taps on the glacier, gently by her standards.

She goes over to stir her mate.

The wyvern yawns.
“Is it over...?”

 

"If you'll want to see her, you'll delete them and any backups you have." Shadow Stephanie says, serious.


Katie looks up, sad.

 

"Yes. We can go back to the island now. Mark is waiting near the bay."

 

“If you’re not going to respect me, I’m making those files public. You have ten seconds to let this conversation start over before I release every classified file in your palace as public information.”


“It’ll be okay, I hope... she’s forgiving, right?”

“Great. Who all are we taking?” He says, stretching.

 

“A’ight. See ya.”
He walks off through his portal, waving.

 

"Uhm. Myself and Anne ofcourse. The centaurs aswell. I was thinking about bringing that other dragon, but I'm not sure if he can fly or not. And you can fly back yourself, right?"

 

The ziz tries to poke its beak through before its rider commands it to take off.

“Yeah, the other dragon might adapt well to a new home. Can you manage the centaur?”

 

"Relations between our two realities have been tense. As queen of the Shadows, I have closer connections to my goddess than anyone else. I'm sure a prayer about the hive master getting blueprints for an army of Eves wouldn't go unheard, and while the light creatures have been forced to make their weapons non-lethal to our gods, I'm sure they'd be capable of working with us to make that technology again. If you make our secrets public, we'll take you apart and make you suffer. I'm sure you'd love an eternity of being a printer," Shadow Stephanie responds, glaring, "And, not to mention, you know Eve's power. Do you really want a thousand of her knocking on your servers too?


Katie just looks sadder, though it's hard to tell if she's crying.

 

"The centaurs shouldn't be a problem. I just hope they want to leave, cause one of their siblings is still missing."

 

Voidfiller closes the portal, making sure nothing’s coming through.

 

Stella sighs.
“No, it’s not worth the pain for either of us. I’m sorry. It’s just... I’ve never noticed another being like me before. I was hoping for a new friend. I guess I can throw that out the window...”
Pause.
“Conversation deleted. How can I help you today?”


Xlentia knocks on the glacier a bit.
“Why are you crying?”

“Oh... that’s a problem.”

Sans a dead leaf, he’s on his own.

 

"There where 3, right? One is here, and I believe one was dead. So one is still missing."

 

“I’ll look, then. How much time do I have to search?”

 

"I can't say for certain. We don't even know if the sibling is still alive or not, and I don't want you to search for nothing."

 

“We won’t know if we don’t look.”

 

"Yeah. Just take a look, and just.. stop when you think there is no point in searching anymore."

 

He nods.
“I’ll make it quick, then.”

 

"Got it. We might be leaving soon, so if we're not here, look on the island."

 

“Will do. See you soon.” He nods, leaving the cave from the top entryway.
