“Do you want to risk it?”


“It’s mother’s.” Amethyst says, dragging it towards Leilia.

 

"Considering the state Stephanie's in, and who made this armour, then I doubt many things could damage this armour." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Are you sure you want to give it to me?" Leilia asks, surprised as she takes the necklace.

 

“Well, a starchild swiped a mining vessel and took it into a sun. Have fun.”


Amethyst nods, pointing to a star that gets consumed by a black hole later on.

 

"Oh...are you sure it isn't melted?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


"Is your mother no longer with us on the physical plane?" Lielia asks, looking at the necklace.

 

“We’re getting a signal, so the craft isn’t. My cousin... not sure.”


“Father took her.” Amethyst nods.

 

"Well, either your craft is somehow able to not melt and keep itself cool inside, or your cousin got put in a billion degree oven." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.


"I'm sorry to hear that." Lielia says empathetically.

 

“Yeah, I’m aware of that, I’ve excavated a sun before.” Lenka groans.


“It’s fine, it’s just part of the cycle.” She giggles.

 

"Aren't suns just giant balls of gas that are on fire?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


"Cycle?" Lielia asks, suspicious.

 

“Yep.”


“It’s broken, though.”

 

"So, what, you excavate flamey gas?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


"Oh, was I not meant to receive this then?" Lielia asks.

 

“Yeah.”


“You were.”

 

"Why?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


Lielia gives Amethyst a suspicious look.

"What's going to happen to me if I wear it, then?" Lielia asks.

 

“Hydrogen gas. Very cheap to get to fringe planets, and great for kickstarting reactors.”


“Nothing. You are not mother. Mother is gone, the cycle is broken. It’s only another story now.”

 

"Huh. I can't help but feel draining stars is a bad thing somehow." Shadow Stephanie comments.


"Well, thank you!" Lielia says happily, putting on the necklace.

 

“True. Usually we kill them first.”


Amethyst looks at the necklace.
“Mother used to tell me that the necklace was a failed prophecy. It’s pretty, though.”

 

"Aren't you going to kill off planets that way?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


Lielia smiles, happy with the necklace.

 

“Yeah, that’s sort of the point, though.”


Amethyst smiles, before repeating the process with an equally intricate dress that has a few images along the sleeve cuffs.
“Will you accept my gift? Mother used to show off the clothes she taught me to make.” She says happily. “This one tells my story.”

 

"I thought it was to harvest hydrogen." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Are you usually this generous?" Solus asks.

"How do you create all of these items?" Lielia asks.

 

“Yeah.”


Amethyst smiles.
“I’m a weaver. It’s like how Bea heals people, she just does.”

 

"Same. But, you know, maybe... just maybe it's a positive thing?"
