Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Stephanie... right, the... the sorceress in that group of, uh... shadow with the dryad that doesn't call herself a dryad." He sighs, catching his breath.
"I, uh... sorry, forgot to take my meds on time."

 

"Forest Guardian." Stephanie says.

 

"I don't get what the difference is. There's also, like, a fire spirit and a... what are those called... merfolk, those."

Another one of the fur-kobolds runs towards the duo.
"Captain! Are you okay?!" They shout, seeming to be unopposed to barreling into him.

 

"Fire Guardian, Water Guardian." Stephanie says, holding her hand out to stop the kobold.

 

They just ram into her hand, practically bouncing off it with an "oof."
"Yes, I'm fine. I just forgot the injection."
"Well, don't you go scaring us again, alright? Parents better not up and outlive their kids."
"Yeah, yeah..." Lenka sighs.

 

Stephanie's unmoved by the impact, her armour sturdy.

 

“I won’t. I work with contracts if I think that’s the case, anyways.”

 

The other creature doesn’t seem to be affected whatsoever, and they simply head off back towards the control room.

“Well, I’ll see if it works. Night...”

 

Voidfiller waves.
“Bye.”

 

"Need a portal back." She yawns, eyes drooping.

 

"Exit's the entrance. I dunno exactly where you were before you got here."

 

“Not... gnnuh mh ih.” She mumbles, slumping over.

 

An abnormally large pillow's summoned under her to catch her fall.
"Ah, geez. Come on, let's get her outta here."
Four golems come over and grab a corner each, hoisting it up and starting to walk towards the portal.

 

"How bad is it if he steps on them?"

 

Stephanie looks toward Lenka.

 

"If he doesn't get burned easily, not bad. If he gets burned easily, really bad."

"I'm sorry, mom's crazy. I'll try and get it together." He sighs, starting to walk down the hall with a defeated look on his face.

From the portal, Voidfiller can see that the storm barrier's gone.

 

Stephanie just follows silently.

 

After a while, Lenka opens another hatch, heads up, and then heads towards another somewhat obscured door.
"Okay... you have any favorite foods?"

 

"I mean, he's a dragon. Aren't they a little more resistant to fire then others?"

 

“Probably? Anyhow, you could’ve burned the thorns. They shrivel up really quickly.”
