Roleplay Tavern (please Don't Bully Me)

During my (mis)adventures in Wynn, I have met many peculiar players! From traveling merchants, to skilled fighters, and even the occasional mythic hunter. However, this thread focuses on a rather overlooked demographic of the WynnCraft community; the Role-play Community. I have seen many role-players throughout Wynn and Gavel alike! The downside though is that this part of the Wynncraft community is often bullied or belittled for their simple enjoyment of role-play! So, I propose a new "social spot" in WynnCraft. Similar to Deltas, however instead of a trade hub, more of a "role-play hub." This would be an area where role-players can meet other role-players and perhaps even make a few new friends!

My Suggested Area: A Building in Ragni, Located at; -889, 67, -1490

This building has the interior look and feel of a "meeting place" and would be perfectly adequate for role-play use!

Before you flame me, please keep in mind that this thread is mainly for the inclusion of the role-play community in Wynn, while I myself am not a roleplayer I just thought it a good idea to give them a place to role-play in peace...

Plenty of people here rp already, no need to make an in-game place

 

Forums RP's are not as good as in-game RP's however this does show that the RP community exists and thrives

Tbh I don’t mind the idea :)

You could even organize different rps and stuff for different times.
Ex: bar is open saturday 8:00 [timezone] and people could play different characters
I dunno I’m not a frequent role player xD if this doesn’t make sense then whatever

 

Sounds cool, however I have no idea how to get this popular enough to actually use

 

If you want to role play why don't you just go to some place and role play, we don't need a special place for that.

 

Because I’ve seen players bully role players before

 

Don't listen to bullies, they bully because they need to feel important, if you answers them, they will fill important.

 

Anyone who bullies you for ROLE PLAYING in a major multiplayer online ROLE PLAYING game needs to be sterilized, just ignore them honestly.

 

Talk in a party chat then.

 

As someone whose been part of the biggest RP on the forums since close to it's very beginning, I can tell you that the forum's RPs are as good if not better than in-game RP's. To put a simple comparison:

In-Game RPs:
+ Allows visual RP with characters
+ Allows other people to easily join in
- Time-Limited; all events generally happen at one time, if you're not there for it you miss it
- More easily interrupted; if you're roleplaying in Ragni some other (newer) players might try to mess with you.
- Game limits: Chat character limit, death, hostile mobs/PMIs.

Forum RPs:
+ Allows for more characters through a novel-esce style of writing
+ Less Time-Limited; if you're not there when there's a response, you can always reply to it when you are
+ Harder to interrupt; irrelevant posts get reported and deleted.
+ Better descriptions: The much higher character limit of a forum reply allows you to really flesh out details / (of actions)
- Timed Responses; while you don't have to be there for a response, it depends on the availability of the RPer to continue the RP. You might need to wait if you're not in the same timezone.
