Stephanie just remains silent, looking disappointed.

 

“Look, you’re acting hostile in the middle of a family. Think of it like a demon juggling fireballs in an angelic park. I don’t know what to do, since you’re supposed to be an esteemed guest.”

Keila accepts them with a yawn.

 

Stephanie reaches up to her helmet, as if to take it off, before hesitating; deciding to leave it be.

 

“Don’t take your armor off. Just know it skews your demeanor to be hostile. You’re armed in peaceful space, which is typically illegal. You have Idhaenna’s grace, please be careful with it.”

 

“Exit’s the entrance, as per us-”
He walks over towards the house, supposedly to take care of the boys.

 

"I have powerful people who want me dead, and this is the only protection I have. I'm sorry if I appear hostile, but there's no other option for me." Stephanie says confidently, though there's a slight sense of hurt in her voice.

 

“I’m staying until they go home.”

 

“Cool.”
The blond boy looks at Keila as Voidfiller tends to the other.
“Just who are you?”

 

Lenka smiles.
“That’s not true. You have Idhaenna, and you’re on my ship. We are not unarmed. You have little to fear now.”

“Just a sorceress...” She yawns.

 

“How much did you pay for ‘em?”

 

“Oh... he owed me a favor...”

 

“That’s a load ‘a crap.”
“No it isn’t.”
The boy scoffs and rolls his eyes.

 

“What’s wrong with calling in a favor?” She yawns, rubbing her eyes.

 

Stephanie just stays silent and stoic.

 

“Why don’t you come bring some of your usual friends? Will that help?”

 

"I can't." Stephanie says.

 

“I’m just sayin’, there’s no way a guy like this would give those away, even for some favor.”
“I just did.”

 

“Why not? Did they turn on you?”

 

"No, it would gather attention. I'm not fully recovered yet, I don't want people finding out I'm here." Stephanie says.
