You're up on the backstreet again, with the abandoned raccoon nest of a house on one end. Oddly enough, the streets around you are noticeably quieter than when you entered.

Character application indicates that you would have indeed phased through the wall.

After trying for the better part of a minute to no avail, you accidentally jump as high as you can before using both arms to smash Han into the ground.

After that, you can finally trudge over to where you heard the sound, with an angry but unharmed cat in tow.

"Oh, you are blind. Whoops. The gate in is back over here. You were off by only 20-ish feet, funnily enough."

As I am a contingency, my only knowledge on HM's condition is that it is not optimal. However, the trade market post informs me that he is, at the very least, functioning.

'The Shore' is a massive city dock. One can note that quite a lot of people openly stare at you... for about 3 seconds before returning to whatever they were talking about earlier.

Potions and herbs of all kinds line the shelves, along with injured people on cots in the aisles. An old man is darting in between them, checking on their healing.
"Oh, are you here to help? Gre- Oh. You're injured. Well, I'll find something quickly, just sit down for a moment."

I use the knives to cut the dead guy into pisces, and take some with me.
I go look for a way out of the sewer, while studying the book of alter self.

 

Giving the people around me a quick scan, and noting nothing dangerous, I head inland through the crowded streets

Following the sound of the voice, it hits you how vague it is. You can't really place a gender or even age. Odd. You go through where they say is the gate, into what sounds like a rather loud street.
"We're in. Oh, by the way, before you leave. What's with the blurriness? Looking at you is kind of straining my eyes, honestly."

"Honestly, I've been sitting here a good way to dead, and the others have been putting out a fire. I guess you could do it, if you wanted."

The old man returns about a minute later with a flask containing the red liquid of a healing potion.
"You're messed up quite badly. What was it? Sewer rats? Some feud? Burning town? Vaporized street? I've been hearing the last one here quite a bit lately..."

That's not morbid at all.

The nearest exit is about thirty seconds back, the place you entered the tunnel-of-really-hurting-your-eyes-right-about-now-ness

You take the street up from the docks, the elevation getting higher as you go. The street leads up through a small slum, ending with a strange armored statue haphazardly built in the center of the street. Said street has been taken over by a small haphazard medical crew, and some lady is lying down and trying not to bleed out, surrounded by men in black cloaks doing their best to treat her.
Their best isn't really very good.

 

"Is it the sun?"
I scratch Han behind the ears.

OOC: Oh welcome back. I think Han's mad at me... T^T Rip ground, there's a dent now... Wat, you thought the cat was mad at me cause I hit him? Cause he is... ;-;

 

I walk up to the cuffed man and cast charm person on him before asking to ungag him to ask
Dez:"Who are you and why did you attack the child?"

 

.........."A guy earlier stabbed me and threw me down the stairs in an inn . . ." Kae manages leaving out the burning down the building part.

I don't think it would be wise going that way.
I go further into the sewers using electricity sparks as my light.

 

I meander over to the scene, to try and figure out what happened
I ask a few people around what happened

 

"The sun's over there, actually. Besides, I don't really think you can do that without heat waves, and it's fall."

Guy's still pretty injured.
???: "Bastard was... stalking me. Give her a piece of my mind, I'd say."

(As he hands you the potion): "What? Aren't you twelve or something? What were you doing, exactly?"

Sadly, it appears that you can't really pull off a "full cowl" style maneuver like that, and you accidentally blast off a section of wall with lightning.

Dez:"And what did you do to make a child interested in you so much that she'd stalk you?"

 

(Well I doubt Kae would be a good liar anyway so oh well)

"Thirteen . . ." Kae mutters before saying, "I decided to follow two murderers after eavesdropping on them . . ." Then she pauses before saying, "Wait . . . I don't think I can afford for this . . ."

(Yes ofc. let the intuitive part of the brain take over not allowing you to get healed first before saying that).

 

"Oh... I can't tell..."
Moment of awkward silence...
"Han, can you lead," I ask quietly.
"Do you know... where the mages... or doctors... or whoever can help with sight... Can you give me... directions?" I say this to guard/gate watcher/whatever he's called. .-.

I put bomb on the loaf of bread and start sticking pieces of it into cracks and nooks along the sewers as I go back the way I came.

 

Deciding that I don't want any of that scary shit I back away, and begin jogging up the street in the direction I was going
