Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"So, the tour?" Praecantatia asks.

 

“Ah, yes, forgive me. Anything you’d like to srart with?”

 

"Not especially, I'd like to see your perspective on things." Praecantatia says.

 

“I suppose then we ought to start with the control room, then. Are you fine with walking?”

 

"Yes, quite fine." Praecantatia responds.

 

The captain nods.
“I’ve let my crew use the halls as an art gallery for their children. I hope you don’t mind.” He says, heading over to a doorway and holding it open.
“After you, head to the right.”

 

"That's very generous of you. I'm glad you set aside time to appreciate art." Praecantatia says, walking through the doorway and heading right. Stephanie follows closely.

 

“Gotta let the kids do something.” He sighs, bringing up the rear.

There are extremely crude drawings of trees, pets, rainbows (that start with green, end with blue, and have red and yellow in the middle), and a the occasional actually decent drawing. The carpeting is fairly detailed, though, if not extremely soft.

 

Praecantatia smiles.

"This is cute." Praecantatia says happily.

 

The captain sighs.
“I’m supposed to keep a straight face around gods, but... I can’t help it around you, either.” He smiles. “Do you mind, uh... did I already ask your name?”

 

"Praecantatia, the goddess of magic. This is my daughter, Stephanie." Praecantatia says, looking to Stephanie. Stephanie waves lightly, though keeps herself hidden under her armour.

 

“Your daughter’s the one that fought against Xlentia? I... uh, actually...”
He pauses.
“My short name is Lenka. I suppose it makes sense why Idhaenna had you meet me now.”
Lenka picks up his pace a bit, stopping at a somewhat canoflauged door near the end of the hall.
“Anyhow, this is where everything happens.”

 

"Do you have some connection to Xlentia? Or the battle?" Praecantatia asks, looking at the door.

 

The control room is visible, eight other furred kobolds visible working at various stations.
"I was told that were she and her group to come help us, I would need to follow her orders as if they were coming from Idhaenna, even if it meant certain death. I... didn't imagine she would be that... secretive." He admits, looking at Stephanie nervously, albeit still making eye contact.

 

"She drained all of her magic a while ago, which almost killed her. I've taken her under my care since, and I don't want her getting hurt more." Praecantatia explains.

Stephanie keeps a formidable and powerful stance.

 

Lenka turns away quickly.
"I understand. It's just... nevermind. Uh, this is the control room. You can monitor everything on the ship, including nav, reactor status, and the health of each individual crew member."

 

"That seems extremely useful. How do you monitor each crew member's health?" Praecantatia asks.

For the first time in a while, the ball that Voidfiller gave Keila lights up with a light green color.

 

Lenka points to an empty console.
“Only captain and doc can show you. Head on in and I’ll pull it up.”

Praecantatia walks over to the console with Stephanie, inspecting it.
