Pvp Campaign, Section 3. Thom's Party

I'll do the stuff tomorrow, just roll initiative and it would be nice if someone could remove the current initiatives box.

You go up and enter the attic of the windmill, there's a few windows, outside you can see the blades of the windmill turning around.
In the room you see three men, two are wearing leather armor and holding a scimitar. There's also one larger man holding a shortsword. All three are humans but speak a weird language that's unfamiliar to you(I think).

Big man:"They are coming, I will attack their leader, you must defend me and fight back."

Knaal:"We've defeated your soldiers! Surrender or we will kill you to!"
???:"Why would I listen to a peasant like you, I will whipe you and you pathetic little village of this island!"
He swiftly storms at Knaal and attacks him with his shortsword.
To hit: nat 1
Advantage: 6+6=12

Still just gonna cast Calm Emotions.

 

18+0=18 succes, wouldn't have failed anyway, it's a strategic choice not one out of anger or another emotion.

Hit : 9 + 5STR + 4PROF = 18
Damages : 4 + 5BF + 5STR = 14
Effect : 1d4 on each turn until DC 15 Con Save

2nd slash (Normal Rapier) :
Hit : 16 + whatever, it hits
Damages : 3 + 5BF + 5STR = 13

3rd slash (Rapier of Wounding) :
Hit : 5 + 5STR + 4PROF = 14
Damages : 4 + 4BF + 5STR = 13

4th slash (Rapier of Wounding) :
Hit : 4 + 5STR + 4PROF = 13
Damages : 7 + 4BF + 5STR = 16

Just looked at his AC to simplify your maths :
14 + 13 = 27 damages + 1d4 of necro on each turn until DC 15 CON save.

The 3rd slash was one too low to hit :(

You should try to make your character be far away from enemies in the future, spells have long ranges
