Anafenza stands up and completes pulling the thing out. It looks like a long glass tube (about the length of a broom) encased in metal with lightning dancing inside it, and a rotating cap-thing on one end.
Anafenza: "One moment."
Anafenza sits on it and turns the cap. It reveals holes like a salt shaker, and some lightning starts spraying out. She activates the broom of flying and flies upward, looking around the area from her aerial vantage point.

@SPYROHAWK could my perception check tell how far away the storm was or do I not have enough of a frame of reference?

 

That’s the problem with deserts. Among the shifting dunes and endless sea of sand, it’s near impossible to tell distances

(I would know)
