Pvp Campaign, Section 1. Spyro’s Party

Welcome.

You have each, through some method or another, made a deal. You require something, and your need has been noticed. A god has offered each of you a chance for a wish. However, of course, this wish is not free. You must work for it. You must fight for it.

You find yourselves standing in complete darkness. Now, this is not normal darkness, you are not in a dark room. You are standing on an unseen floor made of inky blackness. All you can see all around you is this same darkness. Except for each other. Somehow, despite the darkness, you can see all the other figures in the room clearly.

You are all standing around a triangle. The triangle is the hollow and made of glowing white light. In the middle of the triangle floats an angelic creature. The celestial figure is a large angel with iron-gray feathers, a wizened yet young face, pale blue wizard robes, and a giant gavel. His hands also glow with arcane runes.

At each side of the triangle, each of you stand on circles of white light.

On one side of the triangle stands an elven woman with long brown and blue hair, purple eyes, studded armor, flowing robes, boots, a pendent, and has a crystal stud in one ear. To the woman’s right is a dwarf with an extremely bulky build. He has blue eyes, light skin, long ginger hair, and a goatee. He wears plate armor, a cloak made of metal, and a horned helmet. He has several axes on his body and wears an amulet. Finally, to the left of the elven woman is an ordinary-looking mountain dwarf in well crafted plate mail and holding a halberd with a lightning-powered glass tube in it. She looks small, and wears a plain soldier’s uniform.

On the next side of the triangle stands a tall, gray skinned Firbolg carrying a staff. To his right is an elf in a typical witch outfit. She has brown hair, silver eyes, and carries a broom. Finally, to the right of the Firbolg is a 6 foot tall half-orc. He has brown eyes and black hair and wears plate armor and a cloak and carries a lance, longsword, and bow.

On the final side of the triangle of a silver Dragonborn who stands crouched, using his hand to support some of his weight. Despite his crouching he is still very tall, and must be over 7 feet fully standing. To his left is a very charming pale man. He’s between 5 and 6 feet, human, ad wears lose chainmail. To the dragonborn’s right is a red-skinned tiefling. He is between 5 and 6 feet but his horns add an extra inch or so. He has no armor but dons a cloak.

The angelic being in the center of the triangle speaks up. No matter where you are standing in the triangle, the figure seems to be facing you. “My name is Anu Bei. I am a god of universal law and time. You have all been selected to be given the gift of immense power, but you may not all wield it. You must fight for it, to prove you are worthy. These are your teams. The rule is simple. The last ones standing may earn the reward. Now, begin!”

And with that, a flash of blinding light fills the darkness, and you all wake up.

You all wake up in the middle of a desert. The wind is howling and the sand shifting. The day is just starting. Somewhere to your north, you see mountains

 

Alright, it begins.

Unfortunately, I'm spending today and tomorrow on college visits, so my activity will be quite limited. I apologize.

The elf woman stands, inspects her cloak for a moment, then looks at the two dwarves.

"..."

@Florfy5 feels another presence inside his head.

"So... who are you, and why have you taken up this challenge?"

 

Tbe dwarf with the halberd, with the speed and ease of a great deal of practice, rises to her feet and gets into a ready stance, analyzing the people around her.
Halberdier: "Who are you?"

 

You feel another presence intruding into your mind.

"Perhaps you should first answer your own question. Better to start with an introduction than a query."

 

The dwarf grits her teeth, and you feel a thrust of words into your mind.

"Anafenza Kagalan, elite guard of Ner Gerum Citadel."
"Explain yourself."

She readies her halberd.

 

The telepathy is one-way, so this is your GOO-lock telepathy, right?

"Natasha Mithhart. I hold allegiance to no place or crown... for the moment."

"Tell me, how is it that you are able to speak to me in turn? Most minds do not have the strength."

Anafenza: "..."

She readies her halberd.

OOC: She doesn't like to acknowledge why she has it.

"I meant no offense."

Natasha: "Please, lower your weapon. The words of the deity make it clear that we must work together if we are to survive."

 

Anafenza nods, lowers her halberd, and turns to the remaining dwarf. She's pulling another thing out of a sheath on her back.

Spoiler: Dwarven

Anafenza speaks in an odd dialect of Dwarven, albeit one still understandable normally.
Anafenza: "Who might you be?"

"Do you not speak common?"

Anafenza: "I do, but Dwarven is my native tongue."

@SPYROHAWK While the dwarves converse, I look for high ground from which to survey our surroundings.

 

There is a shallow dune to your south

 

I walk up it, making sure I'm still in view of the party.

 

To your north, mountins rise up out of the sand

To your east, you just see more desert

To your south, a sandstorm billows, forming a orange wall of sand

And to your west, a wooden tower rises
