Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That would be a crude invasion of privacy. You are your own person, no? If you are willing to provide me your location, I will send you a laptop. It's sorely outdated tech for my standards, but it has the connectivity range to reach across realities. 2048 exabyte storage with 128 exabytes of RAM, along with a few accessories and basic programs."

 

"Uh, sure, I'll take the bait." David says.

 

"In that case... your address?"

 

"No problem. Though I can't promise him staying nice like this. He kind of does his own thing."

 

"Don't we all?"

 

"Twenty six Mulberry Lane, Aspheren." David says.

 

"Are you home right now? If so, expect it in half an hour."

 

"Where else would I be?" David asks, laughing to himself.

 

“At work? I don’t know much about you. However, I need to figure out what’s going on with a medical shipment. It shouldn’t be late. I need to go.”


Half an hour later, there’s a knock on David’s door.

 

David opens his door, looking at whomever knocked on it.

 

There’s a draconian that bows and holds out his package.
“Delivery from Stella to David?”

 

"In a way, yes. Though pets usually listen to their owner."

 

“...Where’s his owner?”

 

"Uh, yeah that's me." David says, looking at the draconian with a confused expression.

 

The draconian places the package at David’s feet before stepping back and reverting into a Voidwalker.
“Anything else?” They ask, opening a portal.

 

"What are you?" David asks.

 

“A voidwalker. Dragon, draconian, servant of the Deity of Decay.”

 

David looks like he's about to say something, before pausing.

"I'm not going to question it." David says.

 

“By all means, ask away. I live to serve.”

 

"Seriously? That sounds like a shit job dude." David says.
