Pvp Campaign, Section 3. Thom's Party

Welcome.

You have each, through some method or another, made a deal. You require something, and your need has been noticed. A god has offered each of you a chance for a wish. However, of course, this wish is not free. You must work for it. You must fight for it.

You find yourselves standing in complete darkness. Now, this is not normal darkness, you are not in a dark room. You are standing on an unseen floor made of inky blackness. All you can see all around you is this same darkness. Except for each other. Somehow, despite the darkness, you can see all the other figures in the room clearly.

You are all standing around a triangle. The triangle is the hollow and made of glowing white light. In the middle of the triangle floats an angelic creature. The celestial figure is a large angel with iron-gray feathers, a wizened yet young face, pale blue wizard robes, and a giant gavel. His hands also glow with arcane runes.

At each side of the triangle, each of you stand on circles of white light.

On one side of the triangle stands an elven woman with long brown and blue hair, purple eyes, studded armor, flowing robes, boots, a pendent, and has a crystal stud in one ear. To the woman’s right is a dwarf with an extremely bulky build. He has blue eyes, light skin, long ginger hair, and a goatee. He wears plate armor, a cloak made of metal, and a horned helmet. He has several axes on his body and wears an amulet. Finally, to the left of the elven woman is an ordinary-looking mountain dwarf in well crafted plate mail and holding a halberd with a lightning-powered glass tube in it. She looks small, and wears a plain soldier’s uniform.

On the next side of the triangle stands a tall, gray skinned Firbolg carrying a staff. To his right is an elf in a typical witch outfit. She has brown hair, silver eyes, and carries a broom. Finally, to the right of the Firbolg is a 6 foot tall half-orc. He has brown eyes and black hair and wears plate armor and a cloak and carries a lance, longsword, and bow.

On the final side of the triangle of a silver Dragonborn who stands crouched, using his hand to support some of his weight. Despite his crouching he is still very tall, and must be over 7 feet fully standing. To his left is a very charming pale man. He’s between 5 and 6 feet, human, ad wears lose chainmail. To the dragonborn’s right is a red-skinned tiefling. He is between 5 and 6 feet but his horns add an extra inch or so. He has no armor but dons a cloak.

The angelic being in the center of the triangle speaks up. No matter where you are standing in the triangle, the figure seems to be facing you. “My name is Anu Bei. I am a god of universal law and time. You have all been selected to be given the gift of immense power, but you may not all wield it. You must fight for it, to prove you are worthy. These are your teams. The rule is simple. The last ones standing may earn the reward. Now, begin!”

And with that, a flash of blinding light fills the darkness, and you all wake up.

You wake up on a shore, very close to the water. However, you don't seem to be wet. The shore you are on is a very rocky beach, it's cold, really cold. Over the rocky hills you see some smoke, other than that there's no other signs of other people.

 

Would firebolting the ground make a little fire to get some warmth'?

 

Hector : "Hello ! Me Hector, you are me temporary friends ! Me strong and nice ! Will help whenever me can !"

 

Well you'd have to firebolt the a quarter of the map.

 

Then I won't do that

Zarxik:"I'm Zarxik a sorcerer. So we three are a team I guess."

 

Hector : "Let go kill !"
*Start to walk.*
Hector : "Uhh, where we walk ?"

 

Zarxik:"to the smoke" I point out the smoke and start walking that direction

 

Hector : "Ok !"
*Follows*

 

As you go over the rocky hill you see a village, in the village there's a few fields where crops grow on, a few pens for cattle, a few houses and one big building. Most of the older looking houses are built on a small hill.
The only people you see walking around houses are women and children. Though you hear some loud screams coming from the big building. The smoke is also coming from the big building.

 

OOC:No the peasants are in danger

I run to the building

 

Hector : "Wait me !"
Hector : *Run.*

(Just thought about it, since I got +4 STR, +2 Dex and that I'm tall, it's probably Blue who will end behind. x))

 

Is no one gonna comment on the fact that we've basically been thrown into a Battle Royal fight against our will? No? Ok.

"Sounds like a war meeting if I've ever heard one."

 

Sounds like normal to Hector.

 

Do you go inside?

 

I firstly look inside the building

 

Spoiler: Zarxik only, you can look if you go inside

Inside are around 15 armed men, some wielding bows, some swords and some axes. Some of them are human and some are elves. On the other side of the building stands an elf, he is relatively muscular, has medium lenght brown hair and is pretty tall. He holds an axe, a greataxe with little sparks of fire coming off it every now and then. It looks like he is giving a speech.
???:"Today, my people, we are going to take back what was once ours! We are going to shred crush those who took our pride from us in the name of their own greed. We will make this place flourishing again using that what we built up! We will finally make use of this year's harvest and famine will not plague us longer! Because to day, my people, we will be taking back our windmill! Are you with me?!
The crowd starts yelling, when they silence down they notice the door is opened. The elf also notices you entered and says: "And who are you? Horned one?

 

Hector : *enters*
Hector : "Hello ! Me Hector ! Do know where are peoples we need ?"

 

Zarxik:" I'm a traveller" notices hector enter "and he is my ally?"

 

*interupting*"What he means is, what are you guys doing?"

 

???:"We could always use some help. You'll probably get part of the loot if we succeed."

"And where do you come from? From Octsville? Or are you one of those filthy ones from Malaggar? Those filthy bandits captured our windmill in the name of their "Archmage". Now we can't use our grain to make bread and our children are starving!"
