you simply put the unid item in your bank and search for all possible items it could be using this:

    upload_2018-4-18_16-28-46.png

    [searching for Planet Healer]
    upload_2018-4-18_16-30-7.png
    [those are planet healers ]

    now searching for nepta floodbringer
    upload_2018-4-18_16-30-46.png

and yes those are nepta floodbringers

this can be used to figure out what the item is, no matter the level.
now you can find out if your dagger is sitis or black

i dont know what else to put in this thread so i hope you understand

that doesn't seem unintended at all

I'm pretty sure I know why this is happening. You know how the item itself is determined the moment it drops? Well, that means certain data (I think the term is NBT data but not sure) is predetermined. Probably, the name data tag of the item is what banks search for -- so when an item is unIDed, the bank still knows what item it is.

Probably not 100% correct but that's the best answer I got.

yes, the game stores each unid item as the item name itself instead of Unidentified Item

    why

It’s not really an exploit since you can’t use it anyway. If this will make selling un-ID items more problematic, then just ban selling un-ID items all together.

I support this, since there usually is a new way to determine the kinda of item it is before you indentify it every 2 months or something like that.

I would also except making the determination of an item with the rarities of Legendary or Mythic to be decided after identifying it. Like the NBT would state that whatever items are what can come out of this unided item. And it can also favor other items over others if there is some from of counting tracker of x items generated and y items sold to the Item buyer or destoryed (if wc has such a thing is already ingame an easily accessible).

A small issue I see with this is the quest Lost Soles. It gives you back an un-ID item to turn in again at the end of the quest, so if it didn’t have any data you couldn’t finish the quest. Maybe that’s not how it works, and it is only one quest even if it were an issue.

Maybe there can be a new tier for quest-gifted items, like a “Uncommon” or “Gift” in... Yellow? Orange? Something like that. Or make it mob drop or chest founds are chosen at id otherwise it’s predetermined.

Tho i think quest gift items could use their own tier nonethe less, since it kinda makes little sense for some to be of x quality when anyone who does y gets it.

Ehh, idk. A new tier may be too much, but then again I got nothing.
