tesla's one of my favorite items so in celebration of an incoming buff i made this build
it's a glass cannon hybrid
tesla offers some lifesteal which nicely counters memento, and also gives some mana steal which helps it with its hybrid playstyle.
9.4k hp isnt't that bad either. it's definitely enough to work with.
while it doesnt have the damage of discharge+resistance, it has the edge in the idea that it has defense sp and better availability to curse, as the -ls isn't a problem.

note: i've already compensated for the changes in tesla and memento

 

you've completely missed the point of tesla! it's a stealing item! do a stealing build! hybrid is the way, but you've got too little stealing OR regen.

thats actually what i had at first, but i decided against it. here's why:
i figured that with that amount of glass, the hybrid concept would be too risky. that build relies a bit too much on melee.
normally that isn't such a bad thing (black builds), but when a build ends up with that survivability it can be too risky to try and get the stealing effects.
what i went for was a build where somebody could safely get the stealing effects while at the same time not completely relying on it.
i find that the most important part about hybrid builds are what isn't directly shown. sort of like divzer, you can't take a simple glance and you have to think about how it would work ingame.

i agree that my build could be optimized a bit further, but i don't think that's quite the correct way to go about it. the idea is good though.

 

if you want safety, you choose soulflare, not tesla.
