Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, just wanted to know if you were okay."

 

Only Gil seems to be present in his room.


"Excuse me?" Alex asks the succubus next to him.

 

"Okay! I'll see you around, maybe!"
He starts trotting off towards the library.

 

Pozel peeks in.
“What happened?”


She glances over.
“If this isn’t about the fight, I’m busy tonight.”

“Have fun!” He calls, resting against the statue once again.

 

He waves back at Maqo before continuing on.

 

"Hm? Oh, Kia and Sel went scavenging." Gil says.


"Uh, no. I was just wondering who the two fighters are." Alex says, turning slightly red.

 

He follows the ashes and tries to find his way back to Sgavrinn and the ferret.

 

Xlentia seems to be walking by, though she doesn't notice Crystal.

The ashes lead you right back to the duo, the ferret sitting on Sgavrinn's back.

"Any idea when they'll be back?"


"You must be damn new if you don't know the draconian. The dryad's Erphenia, late plaguebringer."

 

"A couple of hours I'd think." Gil says.


"I've never been to this place before, sorry." Alex says.

 

"Alright. I'll be in the living room, then. Try and get a little sleep."


"In that case, the draconian is Sivius. Some know him for courting the Shadow Queen, others know him as a living legend."

 

Gil nods, turning back to his computer.


"Oh wow." Alex says, surprised, looking toward Sivius.

 

Pozel heads down and goes dormant next to the couch, cybernetics keeping him upright.


Sivius slowly unsheathes a rapier that radiates with a dripping darkness, hand on a broadsword hilt that glows with a pure white light as the dryad grows a thorned whip out of each finger on her right hand.

 

A few hours later Kia and Sel return, glancing in on Pozel before going to their rooms.


Alex watches, interested in whatever may happen next.

 

“Hey!”
He calls up, excited.

 

Pozel lets out a quiet snore as they pass.


One of the whips falls to the ground, severed, and the two suddenly appear two steps ahead/behind where they were standing, all in the blink of an eye.

Xlentia stops, turning.
"Oh, hello! Having a good day, I take it?"

 

Sel giggles, though Pozel isn't disturbed through the night.


Alex tries to keep track of what's happening.

 

He winds up waking exactly six hours later, glancing around a bit.


It’s hard to; each combatant soon splits their bodies into two and fight with actions faster than the eye can follow... despite this, bursts of darkness, light, blood, and thorns fly out multiple times every second. As hard as it is for the audience to follow, it’s intimidating how hard it would be for the combatants to follow.

 

The living room is still empty, though he can hear someone in the kitchen.


Alex just watches the explosions of element as if it were a firework show.

 

"Alright, noble knight, ready to continue?" He sounds a bit sarcastic.

 

He peeks in the kitchen.


Between the blasts, she can only see glimpses of the combatants, the spectacle becoming slowly more entrancing before the arena is filled with a massive burst of light and darkness, the dryad cut into ribbons as the dust settles with Sivius standing calm as ever in the middle of the arena.

“How can a night be noble? They’re not people.”
