How To Duel A Mage As An Assassin?

Hiya!

I'm a level 59 assassin focusing mainly on Thunder/Water and I want to obliterate my friend in a duel. He's a level 64 mage going for Earth/Water build, anyone got any tips, strategies to win against him? Thank you ^^

vanish, get close, spin attack and multihit really fast, or just spam spin attack

Nah but srsly as a mage the only attack spell they have is meteor if they're going water earth

Just literally vanish spam until you get close, avoid the one shot meteor and you should be more or less ok.

The fact that they are 5 levels above yo won't help, but at this early game stage you shouldn't spend money on a build designed for such a niche thing.

Tl;dr invis to avoid meteor then stab him, mage auto attack sux
