I'm sorry, but I saw the name of that creature, and I know what it is now.

Note: the 5e lore of the creature is VERY different than the original 2e lore

It's slowly spinning on it's chain but you can't tell if its moving or alive

Yevor slowly walks towards the door.

he goes into his bag and pulls out his thunder cannon he shoots it at a wall AWAY from everyone.

 

It starts shaking around, but stops when it realizes it can't do anything

The 5e lore is VERY different than the previous lores. It has nothing to do with mystrya at all. The new lore is coming out in Mordekanin's Tome of Foes but it was described in one of the DnD beyond vids

He flies up to the thing and kinda perches on the bar of the cage then reaches in and removes the hood.

I might have just screwed us.

 

There's no cage, it's wrapped in a chain. I assume you just fly next to it.

It's hood is one of those hoods that you put on sport birds. It covers the eyes, but this one also goes over the beak
