    Yesh,

I am a level 50 assassin, and it might be too early for me to think about builds, so I decided to think about Elements. A friend of mine told me that assassins should go for Air and Thunder, so I did. But should I go 50/50 on both elements or get one higher than the other? What's the most important, Air or Thunder?

    Sincerely, Azepie.

As you already said, you shouldn't worry much about builds at this point. A build is mainly defined by the equipment rather than skillpoints, and at this level you level up so fast, that a build would be outdated quite fast and wouldn't be worth the investment.
And for the skillpoints: I would distribute them in a way that you can use the best equipment you currently have, if you get better equipment not fitting you skillpoints, reset them. Any skillpoints left I would distribute evenly, as they have the largest impact this way (as you put more and more points in one element, the percental increase of their stats becomes smaller). But that's just my opinion.

element depends on what type of playstyle you like

    generally for assassin:
Air/Thunder: Speedy and Fast Attack Speed (Melee or Spell)
Air/Earth: High Damage and Survivability (Melee MOSTLY)
Air/Fire: Super Tanky but Low Damage Output (Tank)
Air/Water: Speedy, Some Survivability, Spell Spam (Spells)
Thunder/Earth: Fast Attack Speed, High Damages, Lower Survivability (Melee)
Thunder/Fire: Somewhat Tanky with Decent Attack Speed (Melee/Tank MOSTLY)
Thunder/Water: Speedy, Good Spellspam and Damages, Low Defenses (Melee/Spells)
Earth/Fire: Pretty Good Damage Output, Good Tankiness (Melee/Tank)
Earth/Water: High Damage Spells, Decent Survivability (Spells/Spellspam)
Fire/Water: Decent Tankiness and Spells (Tank/Spellspam)

THESE ARE JUST GENERAL, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO ALL

Agility is really sweet to have for assassin. Sure many offensive builds have low health but walkspeed+ high dps in glassy builds is cool if you know how to dodge attacks.
Oh also the tri element combo Thunder/Water/Air is quite a neat one ^^ Furthermore since it triggers me a lot when other people say this... you can think about builds and try making builds at any point in time in the game. If you dont want to speedrun the game with xp gear but actually experience it.. feel free to use a combat build.
I myself never used xp gear builds for any of my classes. I start making my builds at about level 10 to 15 if i can somehow manage to get the items i need. And i usually run an optimised combatbuild by level 60. Its never too early to think about build making.

Depends on what you prefer .-. Damage or walkspeed/dodging. There is no such thing as objectively better. It depends on the build, your goal and your skill.
Edit: I also would like to point out that assassin is a very mana hungry class so you will want to have at least some intel ^^

Just between these two, I would always prefer agility, as its impact on the damage you take is much larger than dexteritys impact on the damage you inflict.
If you have 100 agility, you have a 65% dogde chance, so you can take around three times as much hits as before.
If you have 100 dexterity, you have a 65% chance to get a critical hit. I don't know the damage formula for crits, but it seems to be double damage or less, depending on your build. So you only get a 65% damage increase at best, which is far less than the 200% survivability increase of agility. Dexterity may allow you to deal 65% more damage to the mobs, but on the other hand they deal 200% more damage to you compared to agility. In addition, if you take less damage though agility, you can play in a more offensive way and inflict more damage this way, as you don't have to worry that much about surviving.

If you make a build, go for dex and thunder damage on your weapon. Get agility for the ws items and dodge chance.
