That would destroy the purpose of a buyout. The whole idea is that it is an instant buy for a high price. How would that work if it's not actually an instant buy?

And a buyout is ideally the max value of an item.
if someones willing to go over buyout then the buyout obviously doesn't reflect the value of the item, to either the one whos willing to pay or the owner of the time at that point.

which I feel makes a bigger problem then something breaking the propose of a buyout.
its not like they have to exist in the first place, we could just bid until we hit the value we feel is correct.
A buyout is more so there to give an idea to someone how much it will take to straight out buy the item.

I dont see why someone cant pay more if there willing to.

As I've already said, that destroys the purpose of a buyout. If you're so scared that you'll lose it to a buyout, why not buy it out yourself?
