The female Owlbear is pregnant. That’s why the male was so protective, and why they did not eat what they killed, they were fighting in defense.

In theory, you could walk away with a baby Owlbear, but I’m sure that requires doing SOMETHING evil.

Like stalking the mother until she gives birth and then taking away her only cub.

I mean, trying to cut out the baby now would result in both of heir deaths. So probobly not a good idea.

And, ofc, you already killed the father...

When Spyro said that the other Owlbear was not aggressive when we killed the first one, I understood that babies were involved, born or not, IDK, but I know there was.

 

This is why Spyro always says: "You don't have to kill everything, you just need to get to the other side of the map."

 

For my defense, I saved Althaios so WE will be the ones to kill him.

 

Note: I figured that out when you said the dead one was male.

This is an issue... Can I bend the rules and use Primeval Awareness to communicate with the female Owlbear? If I can communicate, I might be able to talk it out.

It says it only works on beasts, which is why I said "bend the rules". They're basically a combination of two beasts, right..?
