At least in the Gauntlet, we actually had resources for Revivify, and there were actually signs that Aegus and Pavis weren't just tower generic units (like them talking despite no other tower enemies, aside from Yfrolf (who was an evil undead anyway), doing so).

I will tell you OOC the one that died was the male. If you killed the female first, the male would have gone on a rampage.

But, notice how the male was being very protective of the female, standing in between the party and the female whole she picked at the meat?

There’s a reason for that. The same reason they started out so aggressively.
