    The Possible Dern entrance in the abandoned mines goes far into the blocked area...

    It also explains why Wynn Excavation crates were there...

    There is a secret in the abandoned mines where you blow up a wall with a cart of tnt which lets you find the area. He was just pointing out that it goes deep into the blacked out area on the map.

    I think Entrance/Portal to Dern is on left angle or in middle of Road to Dern.

    Btw Road To Dern entrance is small abandoned mine up and right to main mines.
