The back wall caves outwards, and standing behind the man is now a dragon maybe twice his height, extending maybe 30 feet to the back of the store. The man himself has sort of a blank look on his face, and is standing absolutely still.
"... Shit."

The man's eyes widen, seeing as he apparently hadn't thought of that. He quickly runs inside, yells something, and soon has half a dozen people scattering in different directions while the rest stay behind to look after their injured leader.

You head to the nearest person who looks like they might run the place. It's this wizened old woman with an oddly carved wooden cane.
"Let's see... 5 for each of the spellbooks, and we don't sell that third one. Are you sure you didn't bring it in?"

The Kalgut is this strange, thick, extremely bitter alcoholic drink. The only part of it worth mentioning is the aftertaste, which is surprisingly good.
The bread and meat, on the other hand, are just bread and meat.

After watching the figures scurry off, Kae takes a deep breath before rentering the building for the sight of death isn’t exactly pleasing to her. She recollects her thoughts and surveys the damage and any changes in the building. She esspecially focuses her attention on the weapons used and the fallem cultist leader.

 

"I... uh... I'm... I'm pretty..."
Eradius thinks for a second if his mental health is so bad that he forgot he has that peculiar book.
"I... I think..."
Eradius removes the ill fitted cover of the book.

 

A lack of pesky 'saves' and 'willpower' instantly stops trying to attack you, and it starts angrily huffing at the shopkeeper, who's now cowering behind you.
Mildly Mauled Man: "I don't wanna get mauled again! Please make it stop doing that!"

Currently lying on two tables pushed next to each other is a woman with a large stab wound. One of the four remaining cultists is using a lot of pads and is trying to bandage the wound, in that panicked way that suggests he knows nothing about first aid. The bartender has slowly retreated into the back room by now, and the other patrons have long cleared the building.

The man you were talking to outside is here too, and it looks like he's using a scroll to contact someone about the stabbing.
"-got stabbed and now the deputy's been-"
"-No, I don't know who -"

The stab wound is distressingly large, and much too wide and circular to have been made with a regular blade. There aren't many weapons in the building now, although that's probably because so many people have left.

"Did you think you could escape them?"
It's simply a solid black tome, with absolutely no embellishment whatsoever. You can hear whispering voices when you directly touch it, which is probably not a good sign.

 

You didn't list it on the spells but if I can I'll use quicksand on him, if not then ward on shopkeep

I pay for the other books and exit the shop.

 

I finish eating.

 

Kae turns around sharply, exiting the tavern once again. She tries to spot any person with a blade that can resemble the wound's unique shape.

 

The dragon gets in an attack before it's hit by the quicksand, and the mildly mauled man is blasted backwards into becoming the massively mauled man and also the wall.

The ground of the shop turns into quicksand, immobilizing the dragon and keeping it from acting. You have another action.

The thief is blasting down the road, using a smattering of parkour to swiftly move above the crowd.

Well, it looks like you're full for the time being. Some local people entered the building while you were eating, and are morbidly staring around at the smattering of injury.

The frozen statue's has a massive scythe that might have been able to pull it off from a certain angle, but it's still where it was and you never saw it move the entire time you were outside the building.
Other than that, nothing.

 

I go back to the blacksmith.

I talk to the dragon (if there is a lizard language that I know then I speak in that)
Dez:"You won't hurt this man anymore or you might soon regret it"

If I still have an action after speaking then I use general ward to make a black barrier around me

 

"Hey asshole! You better give that back or you're gonna be chocking on your charred dick in a minute!"
I start to chase him while putting Delyed Bomb Spell on the cookies and then throwing them at him. If they hit close to him I detonate them. If the coookies were in the wallet... I pull out my knife, put a bomb spell on that and I start casting lightning at him.

 

Kae, not hesitating, decides to join the search party and runs down the street closest to her left.

I'm just ruling out places in the house that I'll allow myself to sit/lay at this point. This is getting ridiculous.

You exit to the street, and by slightly past midday you've meandered your way back to the blacksmith.
"That took a while. You got the cloth and leather?"

The dragon growls, understanding your tone but not the words. It quickly begins shrinking as the quicksand fades, curling up on the ground at around the size of a cat.

The bolt connects, shocking and mildly injuring the target. The thief falls into the crowd, the people of said crowd panicking due to the lightning that just passed inches above their heads.

There is where a first clue may already have been discovered. There's already a cultist leaning over and inspecting a large stone shard, formed like a crystal. It looks like the bottom bit was broken off, hastily shattered.

 

"Ow, c'mon! You're all acting like I actually hit any of you."
I proceed to do, what I said I would do to the thief.

 

Thorston: "It's a long story."
He gives the materials and metal to the smith.

 

Kae goes up and observes it farther seeing if it could've possibly caused the wound and if any trails of it were left on the ground. If there are any trails on the ground, Kae follows those trails.

 

I go up to the man and hand him a potion and say
