Build Random Plants

Please leave any and all suggestions! (Keep in mind this was on a server without access to world edit or voxel sniper)

 

;o how the actual heck did you make that oak tree without voxel or w/e?? I also love the mushroom, they look great!

 

First of all thanks! And as for the tree you first build the trunk and branches then create a dome of leaves. Then fly around randomly spamming leaves like crazy until you get a shape you like.

Go to a server with acces to WE and voxel sniper

 

I have, I found a server with voxel, WE, and 500x500 plots so big things are to come.

 

Make sure that if you build anything that you make terrain around it, it makes the build look a lot better in my opinion.

 

make terrain first, then incorporate builds on or into that terrain.

 

Some of them look inspired by the badwars map. I like the purple mushroom!

Some advice :3

your plants are not organic enough especially with the trunk of your trees and flowers, they look chunky and unnatural. Try and create distinct roots on the trees instead of a massive blob at the bottom, most importantly do your trunks by hand, not voxel. Thus not all trees have on trunk and one trunk only, the trunks might split in two. this doesn't apply with your birch tree but definitively with your oak one. Your birch tree looks weird, the leaves should be spread thinly on the horizontal axis, and the branches of a birch tree go upwards more than they go sideways, birch is always a tricky one it requires practice to get it right, the main mistake that you have made here is, you have just kinda like placed a blob on top of the branches. Try comming up with unique ways to build your trees and plants, there isn't really a correct way to do it, some youtubers might suggest you to do it one way, but its best if you develope your own unique style, especially with your mushrooms and toadstools, or lily pads.

 

Thank you very much for the tips! I can definitely agree on all your points. Although I did say I didn't use voxel, so for the trunks could you give some tips on how to make them look more natural, I haven't really found a good way to do those. For the roots and mushrooms, I will definitely be working on the blobbiness of my plants in the future.

 

Apply for the build team. Just do it. You will get in. I assure you 10/10 building for plants havn't seen better. This is coming from someone who is probably a better builder than the entire build team on another 300 and so forth servers.
