Owlbear 2 got its turn before Althaios, so his turn happened at one moment.

 

I squeeze past the others to get to my position on the map.

Erevan: "Thank you for getting Althaios out of the way. Now, I can do this."

I hold my amulet with one hand, and with the other, gather as much moonlight from the sky above as I can, concentrating it together into a single point of light and heat. I make a throwing motion, and the light streaks towards the Owlbears and explodes with a thunderous roar.

I cast Fireball.

Dex save from both owlbears, 38 fire damage, 19 on a save.

Yay for above-average damage rolls.

 

Oof.

I mean, it's not like that's not what players do literally every time they're in this situation.

 

I mean, in this case, it's just more strategic. If we ran, we would get chased across the map and probably smacked a few times. This way, we eliminate threats before they can come close.

I was planning on attacking owlbear 1 by shooting it with my crossbow... but.

Sadly, it didn't hit Althaios.

Yevor runs closer, mutters something about wasting Action Surge, and pulls out the old beef. Can he try to throw it towards the owl bears?

 

As an afterthought, can I shout:

Erevan: "Back, dire beasts! Assault us no more, or feel again the flames of my wrath!"

As an OOC side note, when I italicize Erevan's dialogue, it means he's speaking with a thick Elvish accent, which happens often when he's excited or enraged.

 

Yevor's italicization is just emphasis or spells.
