Patch 1.17.5 - Why Heal-lo There ;)

    Hey everyone!

    It's time for another set of patch notes!
    I've been working quite hard on a big update, so this is a small, yet important set of patches.

    Patch 1.17.5 - Why heal-lo there ;)
    • We've reworked health regeneration to actually allow the identifications to do something.
    • The heal spell was remade to heal static amounts, not linked to your current health.
    • Mob spell damage is now easier to configure and does intended amounts of damage.
    • Servers should now freeze less.
    • Issues with horses should now resolve themselves.
    • Tripwires can no longer be triggered by falling blocks (Ice Snake).
    • Masks now show the correct skin, rather than a Steve head.
    • We've corrected some spelling errors in item names. Please let us know if you find more!
    • Made attackability tags for mobs, making guards vulnerable to mobs, but 100% invulnerable to players.
    • We've added a lot of varieties to mobs, making mobs like the small Canyon Condors baby chickens and zebras actually have white spots.
    • Certain mob types are now easier to hit. These include, but are not limited to, giant zombies, such as Mama Zomble.
    • Mages can now teleport through non-solid blocks, such as plants and liquids.
    • Mobs now get some knockback when you hit them (more with slower weapons) and extra knockback upon death of a mob to make it more clear the mob died. Mob drops still appear at the site of the mob's death.
    • War Scream's defence buff now actually buffs your defence.
    • A lot of items were modified by the item team as can be read here: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/special-warning.183776/ .
      • These changes include the changes to Hive items!
    • Item makers can now be recognised by the 'Item' prefix before their name.
    • Four new mythic weapons were added. They will be revealed in the API as they are found.
    • Fixed lag.
    Patch 1.17.5G Guild War changes
    • Skill potions are now 70.6% less effective in Guild Wars.
    • The winning side of a Guild War is now rewarded with 1 emerald per mob kill.
    • Guild War mobs and prices have been reworked to be more fair.
    • Particle limits and hologram limits were put in place to reduce frame lag in Guild Wars.
    • The '/guild defend' GUI was reworked to be easier to use, read and handle.
    • Guild chat no longer supports colour coding.

    These changes are now live in freshly restarted servers.
    It will take about 3 hours for these changes to go live in all game servers.

    i know im supposed to be dead but when i looked at patch notes because i was still in the discord for some reason i saw this (old news but is being implemented in this patch so still relevant)[​IMG]
    i need an explanation why selvut thinks its ok to nerf every fucking build in existence just because "hurr durr pvp"
    legendary island and other endgame dungeons are already hard enough with hive loot/unconventional playstyle builds (at least before i quit wynn) so i dont see a reason why selvut just decided to drop the ball on 90% of endgame builds this time around

    if you say "lol no just go play with friends who all have different elemental builds so you cover for each other weaknesses", that's bullshit because that just makes it so about 1/5th of all mobs can nearly one shot you
    health potions dont heal much relative to most builds' health and with heal nerfs this is going to be one massive shitshow

    no wynncraft getting "easier" is not a justification for this, its first and foremost a pve game so it should be balanced mostly around pve and pvp balancing coming second

    Heal Formula:

    Lv 1: 15% of max health healed.
    Lv 2: 20% of max health healed. Clears status effects.
    Lv 3: 10% of max health healed, three times(total: 30%). Clears status effects.

    Water damage ID increases heal power by 0.5% relative, up to 150% and -100%.

    Max Lv 1 heal: 26.25% heal
    Max Lv 2 heal: 35% heal
    Max Lv 3 heal: 17.5% heal, three times(total: 52.5%)

    Healing allies averages your health and their health together(individually between each person), and increases the health healed for the ally by 10%.

    EXAMPLE: Mage has 5000 health. Ally has 7000 health. Mage heals.

    5000+7000=6000
    6000*1.1=6600
    6600/10=660 health healed for the ally.

    This is because being able to use multiple Master Hive items at the same time was never intended, at all.

    I think we're overreacting here.

    if they're going to nerf the shit out of hive items, one of the only viable equipment options lategame, then why not start buffing stats of elemental equipment so you can't get instakilled by a lot of mobs

    it's really strange how selvut's changes are all nerfs unless he also makes buffs that arent documented, but if that's the case, then why
    nerfing everything in existence is definitely not the way to go in my opinion
    i've heard bungie with destiny 2 did what selvut has been doing, nerfing everything that's slightly OP, which ended up screwing over their game and playerbase

    also the 2 nerfs to hive armor was enough, wasn't it?

    Omg actually when I saw this I freaked out for like 5 secconds. This ends an era of a bunch a lvl 60s with Steve masks thank you.

    BPA's health was nerfed, but Gaea's health was buffed, along with all the Hive weapons getting a damage buff. That's 5 buffs and 1 nerf and in BPA's case it was honestly ridiculous, it deserved the nerf.

    The only reasons nerfs are more documented than buffs is because if stuff like skill point IDs are changed then it could cause someone's build to break out of nowhere. They have to be careful with nerfs because of the reactions that appear with them.

    SP buffs are way more influential than health or just raw damage as they break builds and can indirectly/directly influence other stats, even going as far as to result in having to get new armor/accessories because of not being able to meet SP requirements
