On the subject of final bosses, and bosses in general, I feel like we should start compiling a list of boss fight music. I already have one in progress.

Though I must admit the ulterior motive of not wanting all the boss music to become one big Fire Emblem circlejerk...

I'd assume that a purple worm or wyvern is either hunting for food or being a badly designed random encounter, unless there's evidence otherwise (like someone riding the wyvern).

I'd go with some of the final boss songs from the newer games. Triple Deluxe is actually the only one I've played, but if we go up against any conveniently located evil insect queens...

Much like how Orcs would rather kill than talk it out, Owlbears would just rather use their claws.

 

Same. It's a great song, but not fitting for this campaign.

Housecats are also INT 3, and they are smart enough to do things like hunt (wait a moment...) and be trained.

 

Just want to say before I use it, Alas' new spell can also make us have even more problems, but that's not new with Alas.

 

A lot of pokemon songs can be too... Upbeat for my liking, but the villainous teams might actually work. I do generally play music from other games during my turns. I actually sometimes choose songs specific to the character.

- Amaterasu, Okami, and Sakura get Okami music.
- Masamune (spelljammer) gets music from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
- I'm still working on Kyelas and Shingen.

Come to think of it, I use XCOM's music a lot... Maybe the difficulty of the games makes them more memorable for me? I don't know.
