Suggestions For April Giveaway

Good morning,

I have issued the prizes for the giveaway that just ended this month and now I am looking to get some ideas on what to do for April. I originally had the plan set out below however, I am looking for some suggestions based on what others actually want. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Note: Don't be an arse and tell me to give you my mythics, LE stacks or whatever, its a store giveaway as usual!

What I had planned for April:

10 x VIP ranks
6 x VIP+ ranks
3 x Hero ranks

Each Saturday in April I planned to drop....

32 x Item Bomb
CSST for 24 hours (this will probably be about 8-12 hours depending on my schedule on a Saturday instead now)

Problems

The problem I see with the rank giveaway is that is the user that wins already has a rank, they obviously can be upgraded to VIP+ if its VIP they already have due to the same price however, if they have a rank of VIP+ and do not win Hero, then that is the cost of 2 x VIP ranks or 1 x VIP+ which I am not going to do.

The way around it could be to make separate threads for each rank so no ranks can apply to them all, VIP can apply to VIP+ and VIP+ can apply for Hero but this will cause too much spam and the chance to win multiple times and unfair.

Last time I did store equivalent if they already had a rank so they could purchase something else but this then causes players without a rank to lose out which is why I did a 5 x VIP giveaway this month instead.

Let me know your thoughts on the best way to handle this so I can get a thread(s) up to get the competition started.

1st of all, thanks for all of this. I never won anything but I'm blown away every time people do something like this. It's a nice gesture.

My suggestion, well, can we have crate giveaways? Cause when people do store giveaways, it's almost always ranks and I am instantly eliminated.
No idea if you done crates already, but it would be refreshing for us who have the highest rank already.

 

I put a poll up and people wanted ranks again, I originally planned to do crates. I guess I can do crates for people with Hero but then they will want bombs instead as well most likely, I guess for those they can pick between crates/bombs to x value?

 

I guess that works too. I'd prefer crates to bombs, but that's just me.

 

I've opened tons of crates from the store and still not managed to get the only thing I want (viking helmet) =( I have everything else and scraping just gives me dupes D:

 

can't you just give away vip/upgrade vip-vip+/crates worth 20$
?
that way, everyone will get an equal amount of money, whatever rank they have

 

I'll probably be leaving after this giveaway so giving away all I mentioned above, giving equivalent is not an issue but I'm not giving someone $40/80 for store credit on other stuff which I'm trying to resolve.

 

Tough luck. I got it and I don't even want it. I want phoenix bow/wings, but yea, I don't have neither of them. Wynncraft knows, and just like Russia's elections, it's all rigged.

You could do if a VIP+ wins a VIP rank they can just choose something else with the same price as a VIP rank.

imagine that Player 1 won the VIP giveaway but he has already VIP+ and VIP is worth $15,00 just let him choose something worth of $15,00 or
that person Player 1 can give it to a friend or someone else who didn't win anything.

And it thank you for the give away ofcourse.

 

Just make a thread of the giveaway and make ppl only win a rank-upgrade. Ask everyone's rank and put them all on a different list. Then you just pick 10 winners out of the unranked list, 6 out of the vip list and 3 out of the vip+ list.
