In the News “a Wrinkle In Time” Flops

As of this post, this movie has a 40% on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 34% audience approval rating.

I didn’t watch this movie, nor did I intend to. It just looked like a generic, over-the-top CGI fantasy kid’s movie like the BFG. But I didn’t expect it to be THAT bad. So if you saw the movie, what did you think of it and why?

 

considering who the directors were youd think it would be good

no. it was rushed, terrible, and barely lives up to the book

 

I haven't even seen it yet, and at this point I'm having second thoughts about seeing it... is it worth it at all?

I guess, I didn’t like the original movie or the book either. I remember when I was listening to it as an audio book, and I almost fell aslee of boredom. The first part is extremely slow.

I haven't seen it, and probably don't intend to, but from what I've seen of the trailers, it looks like they took the basic plot, drained it of all charm and subtlety, and slapped some flashy visuals on it.

I saw this coming and I was right.

 

I guess that’s what happens when you try to adapt a movie to a crappy book.

Its like the Hobbit for example, its not easy adapting a kids book into a mature movie (or for AWIT a bloody colourful mess), too much CGI can somewhat ruin the book and movie experience which is one of the reasons why both of these films did not serve too well with audience memebers.
