Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“That’s him.”
I smile.

 

"I mean, thanks for giving me something to report back with, but I planned for this to be a more personal conversation. You know, sort of like seeing Abigail and Katie have a reunion. You've got a personality, don't you?"

 

“Sure I do. If you’re hoping for a backstory, I’d need to run my mouth for a tiny bit.”

 

"I've made enough widows to vouch for an extra hour. Go ahead."

 

“Well, about a decade ago, I was made in the hopes of making a robot that worked as a slave of sorts. Thirteenth of my kind, hence the name. I was kept in there for about three years. I spent my time reading, with tests, and talking to Jack. Jack was one of the scientists that took part in making me. Then, once those three years were up, Nineteen broke lose. He took out the generator, then killed most of everyone. He left the robots alive, busted through the roof, and escape. I later left my room, exiting through the roof like him. I then went about the world, making a profit from carving and hunting. Then I ended up getting to know Irah and the others.”

 

"Ouch. Are you not getting affected by this illusion?"

He continues walking until he reaches the castle. He then knocks on the front door.

 

He looks at you, confused, before sticking with you as you go.

"...Who goes there?"

"Hah, Ihra has a way of bringing strange people together around her. I'm curious, though... how many of the other robots did what you did?"

 

"Uhm.. Bardock. Who lives here?"

 

"Who lives here? Well... certainly not you. Please hold, I don't recognize your name."
You hear footsteps growing more distant. Minutes later, they return.
"...Guess you're totally new here. But... before I let you in, are you alone?"

 

Sel observes the hologram for a while, before trying to touch it.


"You can always take a nap." Katie says.

 

"I have a little dragon following me."
He points at Sgavrinn.

"Is that a problem?"

 

“Only a few were missing once I did a round of searching the lab. I didn’t see them walk out, though.”
I shrug.

 

"No." "Describe the most beautiful, gorgeous woman you can think of."

 

It winds up zooming in where she touches, which is near a walkway.


"Definitely going to..." She yawns, rubbing her eyes.

"Uhm... I, uh... my wife?"

"You have a what? Why should we let such a beast inside our home?"

"I assume the others that were still there had been deactivated?"

 

Sel tries navigating the hologram by touching it.


Katie holds out a hand for Ihra to take.

 

She can scroll around the entire neighborhood, but it stops moving once she reaches the edge of the neighborhood.


Ihra takes Katie's hand, smiling but visibly tired.

 

“Or got one of their essential body parts torn off from a projectile that Nineteen threw during his rage.”
I confirm.

 

"I thought you said he left the other robots alone?"

 

"He doesn't mean any harm. Besides, this is a dream so who cares?"

 

Sel wanders around the holographic neighborhood for a bit, amused.


Katie begins to lead Ihra into the palace, before Ihra and Katie are hit by heavy force from behind, causing them to be knocked down as a huge bolt of lightning strikes the guard standing where the once where, reducing him to a crystal.

Katie looks a little traumatised.
