«rp» Fate's Eye [7/7] ~arc 3~

"He's probably an ability user with a similar ability to our" I say to Iza while I'm eying the man "it's quite interesting indeed, but you'd be a fool to underestimate me" I say to the man waiting for him to make his move

 

"This is bad. If our fighting power were the same, it would've been less hard but......" Carol looked at her mirror across the room. "If my copy goes for Kayde or you, Rathius, you guys are going to fall."

"You're saying we have no choice but take each of our own copies." Kayde concluded; Carol nodded.

Juhel widened his eyes. "Wow. You guys are really strong, aren't you? I can feel the power of the puppets created by my ability. Well then, for starters....."

The copy of Rathius stepped forward. He drew his sword— then stabbed himself.

"What...?" Carol muttered confusedly, but Kayde and Rathius widened their eyes.

"No!!!" They shouted at the same time——

A shockwave radiated outwards, making the three of them stagger back. Amidst the smoke appeared a giant grey dragon— which roared and faced the three. From the rising dust, the copies of Carol and Kayde rushed forward.

 

"Oh yeah I should have told you that." He awkwardly says.

He looks at the man. "Juhel, if we get through this, may I have a word with you?"

He draws his sword and holds his shield out infront of him, to block incoming fire, and charges at his copy.

 

Tyrinel nodded; without further conversation, they walked forward.

James felt the change in atmosphere as soon as he stepped into the cave. The walls and the ground were no longer line with stone bricks, but had changed completely into a natural cave with slippery wet walls. There were very less light— but James could see enough to tell that the cave had became much, much, wider.

They stepped forward——

".....! Both of you, stand back!!" A voice shouted— James had heard it before; it belonged to the knight with blue hair, the Spirit Knight Diabel.

"What are you doing in here——" James started to say, then saw what the knight was facing. Diabel had formed wind spirits around him to make him float in the air.

On the ground was an endless amount of gleaming black shells. As James looked closer, he saw that all the shells were connected and had legs producing out of them.

"Oh.... this is bad." He muttered.

A giant centipede that was long and big enough to cover the entire surface was blocking their way.

"Gah!" The guard Andrei tackles into cries and is knocked into a wall, hitting his head hard. The other guards drew their blades and charged at him from all directions.

"....It was something I've thrown away long ago." The doctor said, and Marcus turned away, snorting softly.

The young boy was looking at the two of them in awe. Marcus approached him, with the doctor following behind.

"Now... what do we do, hunter?" The doctor asked from behind.

 

"We leave. Now."
Marcus breathed heavily, turning to retrieve his pelt that he threw on the rapier-guard.
"Spread the word. Don't do it loudly, though, I've no idea who else is beyond that hallway outside."

 

"Gehehe. Let's see for how long you can keep your arrogance of yours." The man leaned forward— then disappeared.

No, not disappeared. He had kicked off the ground so fast, he had covered the distance between him and Archibaud in less than a second. Archibaud reacted with inhuman reflex and lifted his scythe in defence, as the man spun in the air extremely agilely and punched the scythe from the side. The impact was so large, Archibaud's entire body was thrown into a nearby wall, cracking it.

Archi!! Izanami shouted.

What... the hell... was that....??

The pauched man was laughing. "Gahaha! My ability lets me control mana in the atmosphere to my will. The mana of the 30-meter radius around us is inside me."

Archibaud stood up slowly, glaring at the ability user. The man grinned maliciously.

"My name is Rodriguez Oplane Lepunzo VI, Eight Fingers Executive in charge of slave trafficking."

"As we discussed! Rathius, deal with that thing!" Carol shouted as she kicked off with her sword towards her copy— in the next second, a barrage of sounds of swords hitting against each other came from the distance.

"Oh..... this is the worst!" Kayde cried, moving ahead towards his own copy holding out the tower shield.

The dragon caught sight of Rathius, then sent an inferno down at Rathius— who blocked with his shield. He gritted his teeth, feeling the heat of the grey fire, that felt exactly real. A giant claw appeared through the fire and slashed towards Rathius from the side.

 

''Iza I dont think we will be able to beat him head on.'' I try to get 30 meters away from him. ''Any chance you can become a ranged weapon?'' I say jokingly

 

Again Marcus counted the people— two hundred civilians or so. Five men who said they knew how to fight joined Marcus, retrieving weapons dropped by the guards.

They left the room quietly, the people careful not to make a sound. The doctor suggested he go behind but Marcus forced him to come in front.

They dealt with any sentries that were on the way, and they travelled for five minutes or so— when Marcus picked up footsteps from in front.

He thought it belonged to one person— but actually, there were two people. One was a tall beautiful woman wearing a mantle; and in front was a pale-skinned man wearing a formal suit, with black hair and red eyes. They seemed genuinely surprised as they saw Marcus and all those people.

"Weeeeell well. An escaaaape from within? The Eight Finger suuuure is a sloppy organisation." Said the woman, closing her blue pupil and looking at them with her yellow eye.

 

Marcus tried his best to not look at the two directly. He didn’t know what they could do, after all.
“Yeah. Hot tip, don’t give the dumbest guard the shock-stick.”
The words and Marcus’s body language were coated in distrust.

 

"But.... I do not like fighting. I taint my clothes and it makes me tired and it makes me get hurt at occasions." The man ranted on, stepping back a few steps. "What trash you are to make a master fight first. Go."

From behind where the man had came from, two figures came forward. They were both elves with blonde hair; one looked to be around her twenties, while the other only looked to be around twelve or so. Although, this was in human standards, as elves lived much longer than humans did. They both wore only ragged clothings and collars around their necks; their body full of scars. Their eyes were empty— their faces held no expressions.

"You elves are worthless in society. This merciful self gave you pieces of trash value. Now go and prove your value to your master!" Rodriguez laughed. The two elves bowed without saying anything; then charged forward, the taller one in front, the shorter one behind.

"I don't know what you are taaalking about. But it looks like you had some trouble coming here, isn't that right~?" The woman said, narrowing her eyes at the bloodied pelt Marcus wore. She shrugged, seeing the distrust in all of the peoples' eyes.

"Fine, fine. I shall introduce myself. My naaaame is Roswaal M. Mathers, a certain margrave in the kingdom, as well as the Royal Magics Advisor. This is my servant Karifer. Me and some of my friends are running an attack on this facility— when enemy Ability Users mixed our positions altogether. Anyway, I am heeeere to help."

 

“Are you? Well, that way’s not the exit.”
Marcus eased up, pointing behind him.
“You didn’t happen to pass someplace where they’d hold stolen weapons, did you?”

 

"This may be our chance" I ignore the slaves and try to attack the executive hoping he's a bit off guard

 

"Fine!"

He starts running past the dragon, towards it tail. Once he's close enough he charges at the tail and stabs his sword into it.
"Not very agile in such a small room."

 

I spin around and try to hit her face with the bow
"I surely prefered if we could just talk this out, but surely we can work it this way" I say, trying to do a high kick at his face and jumping a few meters behind, aiming to shoot at the right side of her torax

 

"Who- Wha-"
I conjure a great sword and drop it on the centipede.

 

Archibaud tried to avoid the taller elf running towards him, leaping towards the side——

".....!!" Archibaud raised his scythe just in time as a huge blast of fire attacked his side. Feeling the immense heat glazing him, Archibaud leapt back from the elf.

Archi watch out!

An enormous chunk of earth crashed into the scythe from the side, knocking him back far.

They didn't chant any incantations!! Archibaud rose up, gritting his teeth. The taller elf had fire surrounding her body, while the younger one stood at the back, in middle of mounds of earth.

Izanami sounded tense. I've heard that if one is experienced enough, they can cast magic without chanting spells..... But this is going too far!

"Gahahahahaha!!" Rodriguez laughed loudly. "I told you my ability let me control mana— I can transfer them into my servants!"

The tail suddenly snap towards Rathius, hitting him hard and sending him tumbling back. The dragon growled and leapt forward, landing close to Rathius. It landed its front leg onto Rathius's body, putting on its immense weight onto his body.

 

"You know that this will only strengthen me, right?"

He smiles at the dragon and holds out his arm, pointing at the dragon's eye.
"Goa!"

 

(torax=chest? I searched that up....)

The woman leaned back slightly, dodging the bow. She watched as Angela jumped back and knocked an arrow towards her.

"I guess this is one way." The woman said somewhat sadly.

"My arrow never misses its mark. I hope you surrender." Angela said, tightening her string. The woman shrugged; then kicked forward. Angela lowered her bow and shot an arrow towards her body, but in that moment, her body sank into the ground swiftly. The next second she rose up from right in front of Angela, punching the seraph in her chest straight.

"Agh!" The woman was stronger than she looked; she seemed experienced in close combat.

 

''It doesn't look like we will be able to ignore the slaves'' I focus on attacking the fire user but try not to lower my defenses to much

 

(yep, chest)

"Why is everyone good at close combat?!" I shout, frustrated
I then shoot three arrows in quick succession, and if she comes in my direction, I'll try to grab her fist (even if it doesn't stop the punch, just tell me if I did it)
