This is one of the monsters Aarakocra made.

He was made to be an NPC to help Yevor with something, but he’s obviously an enemy. So yeah, this is gonna be funny.

 

I'm questioning whether to have Kyelas try to have the party knock him out because Lawful Good...

Nah it is kinda LG.
I mean he did attack first and were just defending ourselves so... a LG character could get away with that logic.
But a CN would kill him and take his stuff.

 

I’m bad at making custom enemies be balanced, so Aarakorca helped me with some. If you want a cool NPC or Enemy to show up, PM me and I might make it happen. Just keep in mind that it would need to fit my needs, so I have the final say in everything

 

Well, there's always the possibility of knocking him unconscious for interrogation... Or to force him to join the party since our current cannon fodder won't last forever.

@Aarakocra remember those three monsters that were created to be overpowered I showed you? How funny would it be if Spyro threw the assassin at us? Sure, he's Chaotic Good, but he'll probably find a way.

 

He is already, and has always been, Chaotic. I'm not sure whether he's Chaotic Neutral, Good, or Evil, but still.

 

Honestly, I think he's all three. Somehow.

 

That's not entirely what I meant. LG can encompass a wide range of moralities.

For instance, a central lore element in the campaign I DM with IRL friends is a LG Golden Great Wyrm who grew disgusted with the corruption and villainy of a kingdom, and so cleansed the entire kingdom with dragonfire in the name of the greater good.

He's still serving what he considers to be good, and he acts in accordance with the law of the gods, and yet...

 

I think that D&D alignment is objective. Under my standards, he'd be Lawful Evil. He's following the law of the gods and doing evil things under them.

But let's not get into alignment debates now.

 

However, he was doing it for the greater good, so I think Chaotic Good suits it better, but you're right, not the time for alignment debates.

 

I agree with you, but I also think that because Good and Evil are such subjective terms, they should be based on what the individual, and to a lesser extent society, considers them to be.

hm I'm thinking of HBing to classes haven't done any work on them BUT what should i use for HBing them (like what sight)

Current ideas
Brawler- Unarmed strikes/improvised weapons
Sub class for sorcerer- Vampiric sorcerer at will spells for the cost of health.

Careful. I made a character who thought he was good, but his alignment was evil because what he thought was “good” killing and enslaving all elves he came across

 

Sounds cool in principle, but it in practice, they will probably just put stress on the party's limited healing resources. Basically, they cast spells by stealing the cleric/bard/druid's spell slots, which is kind of a dick move.

 

For homebrewing, use the Homebrewery. It just generally looks cool and has good formatting.

The Brawler doesn't seem to do much oanything that couldn't be accomplished by a Monk or the Pugilist HB class. That Sorcerer subclass is interesting, but balancing it would be tough, especially with how it interacts with healing spells and classes. I do like the concept, though.

 

I need to find some time to make this Artificer subclassed called Archeologist.
