Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I visited a few tailors back at home, they seem to charge ridiculous prices. I've never heard of anyone sewing for fun."


"Because I know what my friends and family would lose if I did." Rose says.

A raptor lets out a yelp as it almost falls into the portal with Voidfiller.

 

He makes sure none of its body parts are in the portal before closing it.

 

It pokes its head in curiously, but it gets pulled out and out of sight by someone else, probably Emerald.

 

"Well, I get by with what I have. We don't really have the money to afford new clothes, so I sew up old ones or sometimes make my own." Sel says.


"And what's that?" I ask.

 

It sees some of a wooden floor, then the portal is closed.

 

"This... is a weird place."

He walks towards the castle and stops infront of it.
"Okay. Can I just go in?"

 

"Oh... okay, that makes more sense."
Pause.
"...I don't mean to be insultive, I just... I've literally stepped into a whole new reality where I'm trying to learn about the bare basics all over again."


Rose smiles, chuckles, then wipes a tear from her eye.
"...Well, I suppose you're just free to cut me down like any other, then." She mutters, trying to hold herself together.
"B-but... that really isn't why I came out here. I wanted to warn you about something and ask a favor in return. I know I'm your enemy and you probably won't take me seriously, but... Ihra will back me up on this."
"It's why I brought her here... are... you okay?"
"Fine, yes. Just... bad memories of the past, is all."

The further you get from the shed, the further the castle seems to be.
...This place is impressively confusing.

Emerald links with Thirteen.
"Hey, I'm guessing you're not busy, so would you mind waiting near the palace entry for a succubi who wears a wedding dress as if it were normal attire?"

 

"I'm not offended." Sel says happily.


Artemis gives Rose a suspicious look.

"What do you want from us?" Artemis asks.

 

"Alright then."

He turns around and starts walking backwards.
"Maybe this will work?"

 

"I'm really glad I met you, Kia, and Gil. I didn't think that fae would wind up being the most hospitable creatures I could find amidst a city."


"Want from? I want you to keep Xlentia from doing her thing... because I carry the rather dire news that Virei'tus fell to the Hive Master."

...Doesn't seem to, even though the shed is getting further away.

 

“I’m not. Are you talking about the actual front doors?”

 

"Yes, there's a succubi named Rose who plans to be there after she finishes up talking with Aj. And before you get too friendly with her, she's technically working against us."

 

“I take it that she’s going to be friendly, then?”
I start making my way towards the entrance.

 

"She's unarmed, if nothing else."

 

"And what am I supposed to do once she's here?"

 

Sel smiles happily.

"I think it's only right after what you've done for us." Sel says, smiling.


"What?" I ask, shocked.

"Great, now we have to try and kill him." Abigail says, rolling her eyes.

"H-How?" Artemis asks, surprised.

Katie just stands frozen, mixed emotions swirling inside her.

 

"Aah! What is this mess?!"

He scratches the back of his head.
"Think. Think. Think."

He heads back to the shed.
"Whoever left must return some time soon."

 

"This is interesting. Are there any specific company names that the ore is heading to or coming from?"

 

"She wants to talk to you."

"Company doesn't seem to matter. Whoever's responsible is doing it to everyone."

Pozel smiles, saying nothing.


"I don't know how, but there's no way he'd go from ignoring the Hive Master to hearing him out."

You notice that Sgavrinn now looks impossibly far away, but the ceiling and the shed appear a normal distance away.
There's one common denominator; the crystals.

 

Sel smiles back, before picking up her patched up shirt and flying it over to her wardrobe.


"Is he mind controlled? Or just working for him?" I ask.
