Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sel opens her door with a needle in hand, a bit of colourful thread hanging from it.

"Oh, hi Pozel!" Sel says happily.


Abigail goes to accept the handshake before stopping momentarily, glancing up at Rose suspiciously before finally shaking her hand.

"Like every fire guardian, I can transform into a dragon." Abigail says.

"Well...I just think, that's a pretty major step you know?" I say.

"I don't think we really need get married anyway. We already love each other a lot, and we've got a special bond. I don't think my parents were officially married either." Artemis says.

 

“A’ight. Thanks for the help.”
He finishes, snapping the connection.

 

"Hey. I just wanted to ask you and your friends if it was okay if I stayed here a few nights. I don't have any job or home here yet."


"A dragon isn't an abomination. I bet you get along really well with draconians."

"Need, no... but why not seal the deal? Are you suggesting that one of you might look for another partner before death do you part?"

The guard doesn'g seem to care, and he's left to his own devices.

 

He brings a lighter out of his pocket and starts fiddling with it as he makes his way back to Emerald.

 

"Oh, of course it is! We don't really have jobs either." Sel says happily.


"Eh, somewhat." Abigail says.

"No, no, of course not. It's just..." I trail off, glancing at Artemis. Artemis and I hug, holding each other for a few moments.

"I don't see why we should get married really. Sure, it's a nice thing to show our love for each other, but people already know we're in love." Artemis says.

 

Emerald smothers the lighter out with a claw.
"Don't do it here. There's no trees."

 

It wasn’t even lit.
“I’m not going to. I like ta fiddle with things sometimes, and that’s what I had in my pockets.”

 

"Cool, thanks! Though, uh... what's that for?"


"Hm. They usually love other kinds of dragonblood."

Rose smiles, then nods.
"Suit yourself, but if saying vows in Gaia's garden with a dance through hell's ballroom and reception in a skylands forest tickles your fancy, a honeymoon trip through the stars will be waiting." She winks.

"You should get those puzzle cube things, in that case."

 

"Oh, this?" Sel asks, glancing at her needle and thread, "I'm just doing some sewing."


"Ihra's terrified of me." Abigail shrugs.

"I've been to hell. Their ballrooms generally have succubus BDSM with knives and no safety word." I say flatly.

 

“The point of fidgeting is to not put thought into it.”
He puts the lighter away.

 

"What's sewing for?"


"Well, that's just luck of the elemental draw."

"Hah, your hell must suck compared to mine. I've never seen anything more romantic... maybe because I had a hand in designing it."

 

"Making clothes!" Sel says positively.


"Yeah, our hell isn't some island escape. It's where evil people go to get tortured after dying their just deaths." I say.

"Having experienced it myself, it's scarring. Constant unending torture, it's worse than the most painful death," Abigail says, "The incubi are pretty hot though."

 

"You don't have to try and solve it."

"Well, whatever. I came to ask about the arena."

 

"...Seriously?"

 

"Sure." Sel says happily, flying into her room.


"I had plenty of time to enjoy that beauty while I watched my own eyes get ripped out of my head." Abigail says flatly.

 

"'S'ere a problem?"

 

Pozel follows, closing the door behind him.


"My hell, not yours. There is no torture, just a bit too many residual love potion fumes hanging in the air. It's like cupid just dumped everyone he ever shot down there and called it a day."

"I'm curious to see how you stack up in the leagues. Don't get discouraged if you never make it out of the first league."

 

"Haven't got my bones rustled in a good while, either. I'm bored, though, and nothing like a good fight to blow off boredom."

 

"Well, I'll get you into the qualification brackets. Gotta make it to the ground level first. You see Crystal?"
