Mana Steal?!?!?

I have a pair of boots called Recharge that give Mana Steal 6/4 but does -7/4 Mana Regen. Is it worth it? Also, what is Mana Steal?

 

Mana steal is activated upon melee-ing a mob and it will give you mana per amount of mana steal you have

 

That means you'll have to hit mobs to get mana "Mana Steal= get mana when you hit mobs", hence the name "Recharge"

 

Mana steal activates at random when you melee something. I don’t think those boots are worth it, because mana steal is situationally useful, while mana regen is always useful

not entirely true; mana steal and mana regen are both useful for generating mana, but only with the right build set up. I'd say a healthy dose of both is the best way to maximize damage and mana gain. There are some good builds that use recharge for its mana steal actually.

 

@Zecul is an archer, mana steal is arguably the least useful on archer

 

no, it is most definitely the worst for archers, I can say that without a doubt, but that doesn't mean it's useless.
