How To Capture The City Of Rymek

Right so it's been awhile since i've done one of these but hey it was a ton of fun to write the other ones so I'm doing it again! (also i'm not digging up the old posts they are looooong gone buried somewhere on the forums)

So rymek is kinda hard... but not in the sense of capturing the city itself that for the most part is easy what's difficult is coordinating an army to get there which leads us to the first topic

GETTING TO THE CITY
In ALL of the other ones i have done this has NEVER been a problem until now. Rymek has a semi strange placement of where it is. It is tucked away in the canyon by alumj. This leads us to 3 options we have for getting to the city

OPTION 1
The most direct route... which is walking. Now there are multiple issues with this plan, firstly the cannon has EXTREMELY NARROW PATHWAYS and remember were trying to coordinate and entire army here, having a large amount of people on a small walk way is a horrible horrible idea. Not only would it be EXTREMELY difficult to navigate everyone you'd also have to deal with the mobs of the canyon. the mobs would be fairly problematic with an army especially considering there's a large amount of them. Now onto option 2

OPTION 2
Option 2 is the most indirect route and probably the least effective... Except for transporting supplies. Using the lifts and rymek you could lift soldiers onto the mesa of rymek's canyon transport them across the top of the mesa get them to another lift closer to rymek then lower them. But this would be HORRIBLY INEFFECTIVE mostly because a Lift can only hold so much weight. Let's just say that this is a army of 1000 soldiers. and let's say that these lifts have a maximum of 600 pounds this would mean that you would have to do 158 trips to get the army up and 158 trips to get the army down which would mean 466 trips as our grand total(I am sry if my math is off i'm tired rn) . THIS DOESN'T EVEN ACCOUNT FOR THE SUPPLIES! But this leads to our final option

OPTION 3
Boats. there is a river by one of the entrances of the canyon that leads directly to rymek. If you use a couple of boats you could easily send an army. Most of the mobs don't have ranged attacks so you would be safe from mob attacks which leads us to the final part

CAPTURING THE CITY
Rymek doesn't have any guard golems or main town hall type building so it would simple be a matter of getting the villagers to surrender. The villagers here DO HAVE COMBAT ABILITIES meaning they could theoretically fight back. but it would more than likely be an uncoordinated attack which could easily be dispatched.

Option 4, use a Rymek scroll

 

or ya know, you could honestly just use a bunch of explosives and barricade the walls around them as they aren't a self-sufficient community

 

For an entire army?

Ice bear says just do a siege from the plateaus from above it doesn't seem like they own that territory and the old man guarding the bridges doesn't seem particularly defended. Ice Bear says also damming off the waterfall and river would cause some problems for them. Ice Bear says also eliminate their methods of reaching the tops of the plateaus by destroying lifts and blocking off the tunnels leading to the surface. Ice Bear says the next step is to wait it out as they inevitable sign a one sided treaty when they become too thirsty or you roll too many boulders from the top. Ice Bear says if they don't surrender thin out their numbers by an arrow storm from above or rock slide and walk right into the city.

 

Or just take the abandoned mines.

 

Do you even know why it’s abandoned? They found soething down there and realized ”Wait this is WORSE than corruption lets get outta here”. One person can probably get past it without severe consiquences... but in an army the effects would be severe. Also tons of mobs down there.

is there a route to rymek ?

 

yes. about 15 blocks wide, and straight.
I'll give you a walkthrough:

Enter abandoned mines from front.
Turn Left 90 deg
Walk straight for approx 150 blocks to get out of abandoned mines.
Walk about 100 more blocks to get to rymek.
While True:
Turn left 45 deg
Jump
