Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No, I'm here to torture and eat you alive."
I wait for a reaction.
"Kidding. Yes I'd like to know about the city."

 

“Ah. Well, I should get goin, then.”
He walks off, not bothering to make a portal for whatever reason.

 

He smirks in response.
"If you don't mind, I'd also like to know a bit about you. It's... really rare to see a demon around at all nowadays. I suppose I should start by holding my end of the deal though... that power plant's for a hidden city built in an underground lake. It's sort of like a refuge in the middle of one religion for another. Instead of worshipping one god, they worship another. I bet you know what discrimination feels like... so that's why we're down there. We haven't had anyone just stumble across it in years."

"Take care of yourself. Maybe check on Crystal, too, I saw him go into the Chronoseum and haven't seen him come out."

 

“A’ight. Thanks.”
He turns and smiles, before heading to the Chronoseum.

 

The doors are wide open, the stadium offering another three tiers of seating than it had before. Voidfiller can see fire lick the top of the arena barrier.

 

Voidfiller checks out any matches going on, heading up while still disguised.

 

There's only one battle at a time, it seems, and if he wants to find Crystal in the crowd, he has a few hundred thousand creatures to go through.

 

He just sits in the nearest seat, spectating the battle.

 

A naga wielding both fire and ice seems to be going against a dagger wielding harpy that can turn its body into a lightning strike.

 

If he can, he gets to a spot where he can put his feet up and he watches.

 

The faeries eventually leave the kitchen, heading off to different rooms.

 

There's a section with larger chairs, but they seem to be reserved for larger creatures. Fortunately, they don't seem to particularly care much.

The harpy seems to simply try to wear down the naga, and the naga in response uses smaller bursts of fire and ice to keep the harpy in their line of sight, ice occasionally crashing against lightning as thunderclaps rip through the audience.

Pozel peeks down the hall before looking for a living room, or at least somewhere a bit less awkward to idly stand.

 

Voidfiller pays closer attention to the fight, leaning in to spectate.

 

There seems to be a living room near to the entrance, Kia sitting on a comparatively large sofa watching a busted up TV, flipping through channels with an old remote trying to find one with good enough connection with something good on.

 

It seems to be the same thing over and over again, neither willing to try something different.
At least, the naga isn't. The harpy keeps trying different angles to try and make an opening.

Pozel heads into the living room, kneeling on one side of the sofa as he pulls a core out of his tail.
"Is there something specific you're trying to watch?"

He nods, licking his foot through the vines.

 

"Could you maybe make some sort of stairway or grow some vines on the walls so that I can climb them."

 

"Anything that we can get that doesn't have a laugh track." Kia shrugs.

There's a sudden boom of thunder from outside, followed by the wet sounds of rain.

"Guess I don't need the weather channel." Kia says, smirking.

 

Voidfiller takes a pack of cigars from his pocket and silently debates lighting one while watching.

 

He shakes his head, focused on his foot.

"No smoking." A guard tells him telepathically.

Pozel tosses the core out in front of the tv, a holographic screen coming out of it.
A huge menu in some alien language appears, and Pozel goes through it with a claw.
"Come on, I know common tongue is here somewhere... you into movies, or what?"

 

He looks around for peddles or something light and solid.
