Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I don't know, this seems a little too good to be true." Kia says, doubtful.

 

"Well, thanks for informing me of that. Putting a berry in a piece of cloth still seems stupid to me, but... I guess I was silly enough to eat it."

He nods, continuing on.
Halfway down the path, he seems to catch the scent of something and heads off into the courtyard.

"You're free to call me a liar, but I'm not trying to give my people a bad reputation."

 

"Yeah... just don't eat random things wrapped in cloth from now on, alright?"

 

"Yeah, but transporting an entire planet faster than light speed? Only the goddess of space could do something like that!" Kia says.

"Maybe we could talk to Gil about this?" Sel suggests.

 

"Hey, wait up!" He yells.

He quickly rushes after Sgavrinn.
"Where are you going?!'

 

"Wait, no, I mean a ship the size of a planet. Not a planet... that's a slow process. You don't want to damage the flora."

He keeps sniffing around, leading you to a garden... which he starts eating.

"Or swallow cloth in the first place."

 

"That's most likely bad as well."
Pause.
"Well, would you like to continue, or go back so you can eat something?"

 

"Wouldn't a ship that size have it's own gravitational pull, and disrupt the orbital path of other planets?" Sel asks.

 

"An underground garden? Interesting."

He explores the area.
"How does it taste?"

 

"It should, but we counteract that."

Considering he keeps stuffing his mouth, presumably good.

"I'll take heading back." She says, trying to get herself standing but struggling.

 

"I'll go on ahead."

He walks around, maybe looking for any kind of structure or something.

 

"How?" Sel asks.

 

I take her by the hand, helping her up.

 

I hide.

 

The path seems to stretch on forever, but you feel like it's an illusion.

After a while, you hear a familiar voice.
"Hey, you around here?" The janitor whispers.

Once she gets up, she stumbles around and rubs her head, but then nods.
"Okay... I think I'm ready."

"I dunno, I'm no mechanic." He shrugs. "My kind are tribal people. I'm used to carrying a vibroblade."

 

Kia snickers.

"Vibroblade?" Sel asks.

 

"Think of a sword that can cut through solid compressed steel-alloy without actually moving the sword. Then think of something that can cut through a ship hull if you swing it. Light as a feather, and enough power to run off battery for eight weeks straight."

 

"Does the sword still need to touch the alloy?" Sel asks, confused.

"How do you not cut yourself or others if you're using a weapon like that?" Kia asks.

 

"The sword blade isn't actually physical, but it does need to touch the alloy. As for not cutting yourself, you either become experienced quick or you get to check into the cybernetics bay early."

 

"It is a dream after all."

He tries to move sideways.
"Is there someone here?!"
