What To Do About Lost Quest Items?

So, I was trying to do the WynnExcavation Site A quest, and once I had talked to Vade with the ancient text, I went in with a full inventory, assuming I wouldn't need it again. While in there, I found some legendary items, and, being stupid, put the ancient text in the loot chest to make space for them. When I got back out of the excavation site after going through the whole thing and killing the pharaoh, Vade would not talk to me, saying "do you have the ancient texts for me?". Is there a way to fix this, and if so, how?

You gotta give Vade a crystal. You need to get the crystal from killing the pharaoh at the back of the tomb. The boss has two forms, and the crystal is hard as hell to see because it blends into the ground.

He's past that part. First sentence, and he found the Loot III in the tomb.

 

in order to turn in the quest you need to have the ancient texts still, just like the map of gateway island in Fantastic Voyage. Many quests give you a trigger item that you need to keep throughout the entire quest in order to activate certain events and are then able to keep the item at the end of the quest. He needs to get the texts from another class to finish the quest on that character, then give them back to the character that he made to get the texts.

 

As far as I'm concerned, the text that Vade gives to you after Tessa translates them is untradable. The only reason it's there is to make sure the player knows the riddle.
Gonna test this on my assassin when I have the patience to get it to level 36.
