Almost all elemental rewards were buffed by a lot in the recent updates.

 

The whole point of this change is to not have Anima + Boreal be every single build

Only works due to them both being rings. Jester works the same way.

It's to limit using absurdly powerful builds that make the game much easier than it should be. It's not aimed at a specific combination else it would have been done for that combination. Any combination of hive items from the same division are disallowed because they're all stronger than items around its level. Especially the master division items.

 

Wait, what about the elemental divisions? What’s the whole point of using them if you’re not supposed to use them with the master division items?

 

You are allowed too. For instance you can use moon pool and intensity

 

You can use items of DIFFERENT divisions together, just not items of the same division.

Guess what... unique, rare and legendary weapons are a thing.

 

Most mythics have a legendary counterpart to them.
Torrential Tide vs Spring
Thrunda Ripsaw vs Cataclysm
Flameshot vs Inferno etc

They're obviously not perfect replacements, but they're more than enough. There's also rates and uniques and while those do take a hit in damage there are quite a few which are worth using.

 

Then it's a damn good thing you don't need mythics

Creativity is the new meta. Items that are seen less often will actually be used, rather than items sent to the IB or put in a shop everytime.
