"The neighboring realm, The Realm of Light, was wiped out and reset for their advancements. They were able to not only take down our gods, but move to other realities and take down their gods too. They've been shown as an example of what happens when you try to be a god of gods." Eve explains.

 

"If you're scared of civilian tech, I won't detail the military. I mean, beside the fact I can't."

 

"The tech Shadow Stephanie shown was only for civilians?" Eve asks, surprised.

 

"I mean, mechs aside, yeah. The arkship schematic she was offered is a planetary relocation ship, able to support a population of about a billion through space for up to ten years. It's super outdated, but it still works."

 

"Oh come on. Is it that you don't want to talk to me because I look like this?"

 

He shakes his head, stretching his head out to nuzzle you before curling up again.

 

"I'd fear use of that technology may anger the Goddess of Space." Eve says.

 

"You have a separate goddess of space? Who has domain of the skies or spirits?"

 

"The Goddess of Life and the God of Death." Eve explains.

 

"Remind me to pray I never meet what I presume you call Gaia... I feel like every goddess of life is named that."

 

“Alright.”
I stand still, but continue to block her line of sight with my hand.

 

Her legs buckle a bit, and she tries to lower herself.

 

"It is certainly an odd coincidence that our two realities should share that, though why do you fear her?" Eve asks.

 

I gently guide her down to the floor.

 

"The goddess of life and that of the skies rolled into one pretty much leaves whether or not a planet is hospitable in one being's hands. Plus, at least our Gaia tends to have her moody moments."

She turns a bit less pale, still calming down.
"G-guess dust goes over worse than ruin..."

 

"Not especially. While Gaia can control the planet, it is her children, Guardians, who have as much power as she does. They control the planet too, and they are many." Eve explains.

 

"So, there's a race with the powers of a god... that are scared of things having the powers of a god?"

 

“I guess. Do you need a break from this place?”

 

"Not especially powers of a god, more like much weaker versions of a god's powers. Though I believe it was the God of Light that wiped his realm before they became too dangerous." Eve explains.

 

"The god of light reset the guardian realm? What?"

"I just feel dizzy."
