I'm pretty addicted to the Dark Souls series and I randomly had the idea to try and create character builds that were based off of our D&D characters in appearance and abilities. Unfortunately, I can't really do Alth, because there are no guns and no bird people.

 

considering buying darksouls...
but don't want to break my monitor in rage.

 

I might create our characters in a game... Maybe XCOM then play it on the highest difficulty and watch them all die to basic soldiers

 

I could try making our charcters in DR2C... except they don't really have fantasy races

 

I have an idea: build our party as a Pokemon team!

 

Good idea... Might try that after I finish my Black 2 Nuzlocke Randomized to the highest amount (worst idea I ever had, two pokemon died to a beautifly)

 

I had a nuzlock going on X and Y then ultra sun and moon came out.

 

I tried a White 2 Dark-type monotype run a while ago. Mandibuzz and Liepard are actually surprisingly good, although having to get through the early-game with a single Purrloin is utter agony.

Without is a moderately challenging game. X and Y with EXP share on is ridiculously easy, even as a challenge run.

 

That must've been fun. It's quite fun having to deduce what types enemy pokemon/moves are from which pokemon they're effective against/what moves are effective against them. And super saiyan butteflies.

Here's what I've got so far for Kyleas v2.

Spoiler: Explanation

The armor is similar to what I used last time, but I switched out a bit of it to make it look less regal and more hunter-esque. In the weapons department, the Irithyll Straight Sword is a short sword enchanted with frost, which not only makes it look badass but also slowly inflicts the frostbite status with every hit. In the off hand, I decided to go with the Sellsword Twinblades. These are normally a paired weapon, but can also be wielded individually. Technically, the Gotthard Twinswords might have been more aesthetically appropriate, but when held in the left hand, the Twinblades can be used to parry, which is the kind of tactic I imagine a skilled ranger would use. The Black Bow of Pharis is a cool longbow with good range and a Weapon Art that lets you nock and fire three arrows at once. The rest of the weapons are tools for spellcasting.

Spell-wise, Snap Freeze can be used to finish combos with the Irithyll Straight Sword, and can be flavored as releasing a big cloud of frost from your sword. Crystal Hail is meant to represent that one spell where you call down a bunch of arrows from above. It deals very low damage, especially since this character lacks high magic stats, but basically forces your opponent to roll or be hit, and thus can be used to start a combo. Lightning Arrow represents the Ranger spell of the same name, and is great for killing people who try to run away and heal. Bountiful Light allows you to regen HP very quickly, and has a surprisingly quick cast time. The last spell slot is pretty much free, I just chose Projected Heal to mimic the Aasimir's Healing Hands ability.

As another note, the Obscuring Ring makes you virtually invisible from more than a few meters away, and thus is great for trolling people with your bow.
