"Sure. I need to check on Aj so you can go exploring while I do." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

There are two boats, one larger with more fishing supplies and a smaller one with nothing but a floatation device.

Yeah, it's nice. Makes every argument pretty much one sided, so I learn to stop running my mouth... or thinking about it, at least.

"I might talk with Eve about magic, if you don't mind." He says, screen-mouth moving as he talks.

 

"Sure." Shadow Stephanie shrugs, heading out.

 

"Well, it might that I agree so much is because we share the same mind, so we think alike."

 

Pozel takes his mask off.
"Sorry, I tend to do that to avoid questions."

Well... yes and no? I don't really care, though. You're smarter, anyways.

 

"Why?" Eve asks.

 

"I'd rather not talk about it... sort of had to walk away from my tribe for it."

"That's why we get so many years in life, isn't it? Figure out a little more each day." She smiles, though it's a bit creepy considering her mandibles.

 

"Well thank you. You really think that?"

 

“Yeah. That’s a nice way of thinking of it.”
I smile back.

 

"Oh, I understand." Eve nods.

 

It's not much of a compliment knowing me, but yes, and you're welcome.

"So, uh... what do you do here? It seems like a fairly peaceful place here... other than what just happened."

"How do you think about it?"

 

"I draw, train, play games. Mostly whatever I want to do." Eve says.

 

“I... haven’t, really.”

 

"Ah. That makes me happy." He gets a bit excited over the compliment.

 

"You draw? Can I see some of your works?"

Hey, calm down. You're over a pretty low bar.

She pauses.
"Did you ever make any goals for yourself?"

 

"Sure!" Eve says happily, sliding open a desk below her table and taking out a few pieces of paper. The drawings look almost like stylised pictures, depicting Artemis, Stephanie, Katie and Abigail each using their respective element.

 

“No. Not long-term, at least. I’m only a decade old, and for most of that I’ve been locked up or traveling.”
